[ROM] Zero Blur! Zero Lag! rubiX Focused 1.0

^Ahhhh, yeah now I feel like a tard because I did read that and for some reason thought that I had read Gala X was working without issues, but thats obviously not the case.

Anyways, I grabbed the theme from Rom Manager under "Onix Concepts"

So I guess its reflashing the ROM then to fix.

PS- Still getting used to theming on Android, Im used to theming on an iphone (i know i know) where all your replacing is image files basically, you can run scripts and such but it doesnt replace system files in the way that Android does.

Actually, theming in iPhone is much the same.. the only difference, is the people that create the themes only have 1 set of packages/framework/etc. to deal with. So they're all created from the same base.. if that makes sense.

On Android, the base that you take the files from to "theme" them matters. If you take base files from stock android (or wherever), theme them to look prettier, and then apply them to a completely different ROM.. it might work... or.. it might not. Unfortunately, no easy way to go about it. :(

^Yeah that makes perfect sense. The fact that IOS is across the board, in other words, no variations in the firmware (other than FW updates from Apple) and android ROMs are all different animals.

Well kudos for the ROM its a masterpiece, I'll be reflashing it in a bit to fix my screw up. And working on getting up to speed on this stuff as I'd like to get to the point of working on my own theme (even if its just for my personal use).

OK, just reflashed Rubix 1.0 and still have the same problem.

Now, I didnt wipe data only cache.....but would that make a difference with this issue?

Anyone else notice that when you get a text and try to get into it from the notification window, it doesn't bring you right into the text? Is this normal? I don't remember it ever bringing me just to the list of messages instead of the individual thread.

Problem installing Incognito Red theme.

I am sorry to bother, but I just had a quick question.

I am running Rubix Focused 1.0 on my Droid X, and after a long stint trying to get blackglass to run well on it with all the blurriness, I stumbled across Incognito. But after installing it... I feel like I only got half of the theme? I have the black and white icons... so that's good. But I have absolutely no red text. I can't find any at all. The font is just white everywhere.

That's really the main thing that raised a flag that my install didn't complete correctly. My keyboard has the red stripes through it, and the dialer has the red highlighted keys. Just no red text, only white. I have made sure that I downloaded the right theme. Incognito Red for Rubix Focused 1.0 vs 3.1.

Steps I took to Install:

-Backed up with Bootstrapper+Titanium Backup
-Formatted/Wiped Data and Cache
-Flashed Rubix Focused 1.0 from Clockwork Recovery (Install .zip from sdcard)
-Entered gmail account info and let sync completely
-Moved Incognito Red - Blurless theme to sdcard as "Update.zip"
-Booted back into Clockwork with bootstrapper
-Installed sdcard:update.zip in clockwork
-Installed Successfully and rebooted

After the problem occurred, I did all those steps one more time. Did I miss something/do something wrong? Or is the red font/other features of the theme enabled somehow?

(Posted on Incognito's thread as well)

Also the camera looks a little suspect as well.

My standby thing is at 72% too. No one has a whole lot to say about this. My battery life is horrible now too.

wonder if there are issues with the phone.apk
has anyone tried using the blurphone.apk in place of it?

My issues with the dialer seem to have resolved. I wiped data/cache and flashed again yesterday morning. So far I've had no problems making or receiving calls, and my contacts have remained intact. Very pleased with this ROM now. Thanks!

First off I love this rom. I have had the high cell standby but I haven't noticed more battery drain than normal. I do get force closes on the battery manager alot but that is the only bug I have seen.
