[ROM] Zero Blur! Zero Lag! rubiX Focused 1.0

I only have one issue with this ROM and it's the fact that sometimes the phone restart on its own without me doing anything.
I have now been getting random restarts when unlocking the screen. I also have high cell standby % but I haven't noticed significant battery drain.

Did you change the LCD Density setting? There have been lots of reports of people changing LCD Density, and getting reboots.
Fix: Change it back.

How do you change the LCD Density sephtin? I'm still running.03 but saw this and had 2 post. I didn't start having screen lock restarts till I installed 928 BGX before my ROM. And then it started again when I installed ROM and reapplied 928 again.

Oh! I lost your email, PM me.

Thanks:)

If you don't know, then you haven't done it.
I **think** there's a mod for it in ROM Manager.. but I've not looked recently.
The change is in /system/build.prop.

Hmm, wonder what 928 might be putting back into blurry that could cause this. I'd def. say that's the issue though. :(

Why is the battery says it's at 60% but when I check the battery information it says 70%?

at the bottom of the release notes:

Battery percentage by the 20's (It'll read 80 when you get to 90, don't be alarmed) (Credit to Pete/Xeudoxus)

@Droidrookie84-
What Tom said. I feel like I've posted the answer to this one about a dozen times in this thread... But just to make sure that it's been covered...

Motorola (or whomever) decided that for the DroidX, they were only going to change the battery icons every 20%, so they didn't even include icons for 30%, 50%, 70%, and 90%... so when the icons were put in that had %'s on them.. they only change every 20%.
In any case, the system will update properly every 10%.. so any widget, or app that looks at battery %'age will work just fine.

How do I install the themes u have?

The links in the second post of this thread should take you to the theme's page or post on the forums... each theme may have different installation instructions. I highly recommend that you check their install instructions, and follow them accordingly.

I know this is blurless (and I'm sorry if someone asked this already, but I don't want to go through 50 pages :x) but will it still work with the Facebook for Android app's photo sync? If it won't, then I'm going for your blurry version. I have both sitting here, just trying to figure out which one to install.

I'm sorry, I don't use that feature, I'm sure someone that does will post!

But when using the market app, for the first time on this ROM, it should pop up and ask you what your preferences are for syncing Facebook contacts with your contacts list..... Pretty sure the photo sync works as well.. (??).

I think something went wrong in trying to install this. When I went to install it, it failed. it gave me an E: error, so I figured I'd just reboot my phone, turn it off, then take out my sd to put the reinstalled zip on my sd and try again.

now I'm stuck at the motorola screen....

I tried rebooting into recovery and just wipe date/factory reset, still nothing.

Still have an email issue that no one has commented on. Is there anyway to move emails into folders within your inbox? Was able to pre rubix.

I used the AOSP version on install which seems to be fine for me. I'd like to see panoramic assist come back though.

I've fixed the scripts so that Focused 1.0 will install correctly from ROM Manager.

During the install, it will also ask you which camera you want, DefaultFocused, or Blur... as well as which Keyboard, AOSP, or DefaultFocused... (Default Focused being the one that DRod included in Focused 1.0.

I have also added a CHANGE OPTIONS menu in ROM Manager, that will allow you to select and change between the cameras, and keyboards.

If you're the type of person that would rather do things by hand... the files are also here:
DefaultFocused keyboard, and camera - These are the ones that come installed on rubiX Focused 1.0 by default, so that you can go back to them if you wish!

I know there are a few versions/patches/etc. of the BlurCamera files out there... This one was the version provided to me by DRod. I've done basic testing of all of these patches, as well as testing that the patches work correctly in ROM Manager.

Please post if you're having any issues with ROM Manager, and/or the patches with rubiX Focused 1.0.

As per DRod, pulling the BlurCamera zip from ROM Manager. The 8mp AOSP camera is up in it's place.
If you installed the BlurCamera patch, you can easily run the AOSPCamera patch, and it will overwrite the blurcamera.
http://www.sephtin.com/rubiX/rubixFocused-PATCH-AOSPCamera.zip

2 things of note:
1) It's not at first obvious how to select 8mp. From the camera app, the top settings option on the right (brings up Focus Mode, and Exposure), scroll down to Picture Size, and set to 8M Pixels.

2) To use ROM Manager to install the patches:
ROM Manager> Download Rom> Drod2169> CHANGE OPTIONS-Focused-1.0> press the "Download" button, then choose your Keyboard, and your Camera, and click ok to reboot and install the patches.

Post if you have any troubles with the patches...

am i suppose to wipe data and cache first? i installed via rom manager and just hit ok but it doesnt seem to have applied.. still only show 5m max in camera and keyboard looks the same

EDIT: I JUST WENT AHEAD INTO RECOVERY AND MANUALLY APPLIED THEM

I believe drod is aware of it... It's on my list of known issues. I don't have a fix, and I do not use the stock mail app (only gmail).. but if I hear of others that are having the same issue, or find a fix, I'll pass it along asap.

Are you overclocked? Try lowering speed and/or raising.voltages. the random restarts CAN be related to lcd density, although Moto announced it is a problem.with their software.

Is it ok to delete the default Droid Market in order to strictly use Appbrain? Just want to make sure it isn't integrated in a way that it would prevent the phone from working.

Appbrain actually uses the market app. When you go to install an app in appbrain, it takes you to the market app to do the install. Market is required for appbrain to function...
