rubiX Focused 1.6

Each version has stepped up its game. Something about this version feels right. Something is different in such a good way.its early yet but so far awesome. I wish I could give specifics but this rom I'd just so smooth. Thanks for the hard work.

am i correct that the camera/video doesnt capture at full widescreen like the blur did?

"Capture at full widescreen".
The AOSP Camera does not have a widescreen mode, you are correct.
But, it will do 8MP, 5MP, vs. the blur camera doing 8MP, 6MP WIDE, 5MP.
It simply doesn't have the widescreen mode. The ability to capture the same high quality is there, just lacking a widescreen option which is essentially the 8MP mode only cropped to widescreen resolution.

Ah thanks. THink we can expect any fixes for that?

If the developer of the AOSP camera updates it to include those features... perhaps! :)

Ha! Who do we e-mail?

I'm still experiencing the same brightness issues I had in focused 1.0. A quote of my previous post in the focused 1.0 subforum:
"I'm pretty sure I just discovered what might be causing bad battery life for a couple of users. If not, then in the least I found a bug. When brightness is set to manual, i.e, not set to automatic, the brightness will turn to 100% on a wake of the device, but still show the percentage you last set it at. For example, I set my brightness around 50%. If I let the phone lock itself and then unlock, the screen is wayyy brighter after the unlock. But when I go into the display options, it's still set at 50%. Just touch (don't change the sliders position) the brightness slider and you'll see the brightness return to the value you set."

Have had to reinstall all apps that want SU permissions. Root explorer wouldn't change change the read/write status, drocap didn't work. Could this have just been a bad reload of my apps backup? As soon as I reinstalled them most work fine and the phone and ROM are running brilliantly.

Edit: Root explorer still doesn't let me change into write mode to rename apps (if I so desire). It stays in read only mode

A couple of notes. Battery life is awesome and temps are much lower after extended use.

One question should we use titanium backup pro or just use the free one? what makes one better than the other.

This is my first rom ever that I will be doing, so I just want to do things right, also have been doing a lot of reading, I mean a lot to try and understand all of this!!

Thank you everyone for your help!

The donate version has the same functionality, but I think the main difference is that the "pro" version has a faster engine, plus the warm fuzzy feeling of supporting a very hard working and responsive developer.

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled Root Explorer?

So the extra things it has to offer we do not need to have for backing up our phones then right??

Thanks

Correct! The paid version also restores apps much quicker not requiring you to hit Install for each app.
