rubiX Focused 1.6

Have had to reinstall all apps that want SU permissions. Root explorer wouldn't change change the read/write status, drocap didn't work. Could this have just been a bad reload of my apps backup? As soon as I reinstalled them most work fine and the phone and ROM are running brilliantly.

Edit: Root explorer still doesn't let me change into write mode to rename apps (if I so desire). It stays in read only mode

I let google data sync or whatever reinstall my apps, and all root functions worked perfectly.
People put a TON of faith into titanium backup, but have seen issue, after issue, after issue from it... If you MUST use it, just know that it can cause issues... :S

Well, tried Rubix Blurry 1.0............for about 10 minutes............remembered why I went Vanilla............back to Focused 1.6, lol.

A few questions:

ADW launcher... there is a version "1.2 system" thats included with the rom. It's only about 600kb. Then in the market there's "1.2 standalone". I noticed that there is a slight difference in the app drawer (density of icons, and in the 1.2 standalone you swipe left/right for more icons). My question is this: why is one so much larger of a file than the other? Is the "system" one more integrated, thereby providing faster speed? The upside to having the standalone one is that it will be monitored by the market for updates, but I want to make sure I'm keeping the same functionality if I remove the system one.

Also... I decided to use Jrummy's overlclock app (the default undervolt was working for me but I prefer the app to easily change cpu settings). Should I still keep lowvolt.sh or should I just delete it? I've already installed the patch.

Launcher2 path do nothing for me. help.

Patches:
These are applied by booting into ClockworkMod Recovery, and installing .zip file from SDCard (NO need to wipe data/cache):

--If you preferred the launcher used in Focused 1.0, to ADW which is default in 1.6 (This will REMOVE ADW):

FAQs:
--During install, if I am upgrading from Focused 1.0, do I need to wipe data/cache?
Drod2169: "It is fully and completely recommended, but not necessarily necessary. If you experience ANY problems, wipe data and cache before posting about them and see if they come back"

--This ROM has some memory management/tweaks, Should I uninstall MinFreeManager and/or Autokiller and/or Autostarts?
Drod2169: "Yes. They might actually cause the phone to run slower/worse if they conflict."

--Reboots/stability issues, etc.? Most likely caused by undervolting.
Fix: Delete the /system/xbin/lowvolt.sh file, and reboot.

More incoming...

Sephtin, thanks for all your hard work and for this patch.
I applied this patch but nothing happend and ADW is still there. I am running 1.6 with undervolted version.

Hello, need a little help please Im running 1.0 no problems at all. Installed 1.6 install goes fine but I get multi-touch force close for latin keyboard every 10 seconds. Everything else works as should on 1.6

Thanks...

Can you confirm if you still have root? Use terminal emulator and type su and see if you get # prompt. You may need to route again.

Well back to battery issues for me. Went to bed with 50% battery and woke up late because when your phone is dead the alarm can't go off. When I got it to boot it still had the battery manager history for the last 9 hours loaded. 34% cell standby, 32% bluetooth, 30% phone idle & 4% display. I took my phone off the charger before bed to test this out.

I had this same issue with 1.0. The cell standby is a glitch & a battery drain. I have my phone set on custom saver with off peak at 10:30pm to 6:45am. Actual phone operation during that time drains the battery more than saving it.

Back to .5, which I have better battery life on, unless you have a fix.
