I apologize immensely if this has been asked & answered in a previous thread but has anyone less or less frequent soft reboots with this ROM & the new base? I'm going to flash my gf's phone regardless just to get her on the latest & greatest but if anyone has any insight on this that'd be great. She loves the current Rubix ROM so I figure why not stick with a good thing if it just gets better.

Have not had any reboots since installing 1.8.9. This rom is super smooth, fast, and seems to be very stable oc'd at 1.25 ulv on my device

So installed the leak today and 1.9.3 and I have to say this thing is sick. Fastest build I have placed on this phone and not even OC'ed yet. No problems with transitions with launcher pro. Battery manager is still hit or miss but the included Spare Parts app blows it away so oh well. Thanks again for another smokin build guys!

Just got this with black juice theme and all I got to say is this is the best rom out there. And sorry for angering anybody with my lame questions. Guess I need to open my eyes a little more.

No one here stays mad... ;)
Please, if you have questions.. ask. It is better to ask than not to.. at least 99% of the time. :)

I would say they are less frequent.
I've had two since installed 2 days ago and usually I have at least two a day. so it's better for me.

Yeah mine aren't gone but reduced. It could be that I'm running low voltage and my phone is finicky or it could just be the 2.2 randomness.

Have said this before, but not going to find my own post(s) about it... ;)

Quadrant, and linpack are benchmarking apps. Regardless how/what devices you're comparing.. in my opinion, what makes them relevant or not, is specifically WHAT they test for. Example:
Quadrant measures CPU, memory, graphics rendering, etc.
So... if you're going to spend most of the time on your phone calculating pi, or compiling software... or playing super graphics intensive high end games and stuff.. I believe it's a really good measure of how your phone stacks up.
How many people really care about a tiny tiny performance gain in a game.. if it runs fine without that performance tweak?

Now, on the other hand.. quadrant does NOT measure time it takes when switching apps, or time it takes apps to load, screens to transition, etc... which is something I think is VERY important.

The changes drod made.. improve performance and usability of the phone, but lower how your phone performs with heavy computational or high end 2D/3D grapics rendering... without hurting them to the point of making anything unusable... that in my opinion is way better than having a phone that is slow as hell, but having a high epeen number to see who's is bigger.. :P

Sorry for the rant.. but while everyone gets that quadrant is benchmarking the "performance" on their phone.. few people seem to grasp what exactly it means.. what the benchmark really is measuring... to actually look beyond the number.

Just me.. bleh.

Either way... Focused is well done... It's fast as hell.
The benchmark that I use.. to set my phone next to my wife's stock OTA, and see hers take full seconds longer than my phone to complete simple tasks.. THAT is a good benchmark for comparing.. and I'll take that over quadrant any day. :)

Good info, thanks!

I like your benchmark method best. :D

hmm yeah i'm undervolted too, i'll try to run stock for a bit and see if that changes things.

kinda pissed right now...finally went back to 2.1 and did the 2.2 OTA...i was sick of the extra steps needed to sbf while on the leak..i would have to root 2.1...then install the leak..then root...then flash focused...well today i was getting doudble text notifications..with and without handcent...i checked all settings...turned all vibrating off..and yet when i would get a text it would ring and vibrate randomly really fast a couple times then 2 seconds after it was done it would happen again..even tried renaming the stock msging app to get rid of it but still got double notifications...dont really know whats gonna happen im doing another sbf right now...i still have focused 0.5 on my sdcard and i need the 3g hotspot app so i figured i would try it again cause i need tethering for work tomorrow..i installed in the first time and it wouldnt get passed the M logo..then did the sbf and loaded it again this time trying mount system...it got to the rubiX boot logo and kept flashing and that was it...i used focused 0.5 lots of times before and never had problems..anyone know why it wouldnt work if im coming from a freshly sbfed phone with stock 2.2?

Something had to have been put back on..... do you use appbrain, or something that would have a list of the apps that you use (that I assume were reinstalled by Google Data Sync, as soon as you booted back into 2.2, and opened market for the first time? (appbrain, if you go to myapps, on the right hand side, there's a place to set your app list as public, send me a PM with the link, and I'll take a look *shrug*... only thing I can think of.. :P

Is this rom overclocked on bootup? It has rebooted on me twice so far.

Rom is stock clock and voltage after install.

I don't know what the problem is. My X keeps rebooting.

What other mods have you done since installing the ROM?
Theme (especially one that's not compatible with Focused)?
Restore via Titanium (especially restoring ANY system data/etc.)?
Build.prop mods (LCD Density change)?
Undervolt/Overclock?

All of those have been known to cause reboots. Tell us what else you've done, and maybe we can narrow it down?

I got the phone today brand spankin new. Rooted it and installed clockwork and bootstrap. Installed rubix, wiped cache and data. Then I grabbed this theme flavored ice-Dar Berry which states it for rubix 1.8.9. That was it.
