rubiX Focused 1.9.5

sephtin, will your DX_Camera(BlurCameraFromFission).zip work with 1.9.5? Thanks.

I believe it does (I tried it in an early alpha version and it worked fine.. so it should)...

Here is a question. I have been monkeying about between this and apex. really like them both, RubiX 1.9.5 is winning except for one thing. Moto did something right with their camera. and i was wondering if anyone had the current 2.3.340 camera about?

It looks like Rubix is running a non-stock camera thats been out for some time, which is fine. just really got to like the other. if any of you want an example Apex 1.3.1 has it (only reason i started there is because they beat Rubix to the 2.3.340 support)

I'm also curious, was there something in the camera preference?

sephtin has a patch on his website for the old blur camera and it works fine on 1.9.5

I'm running the Linear theme on top of 1.95, which may or may not be important, but I have two problems; 1. I am unable to set up the lockscreen with a pin. A lockscreen never appears, after bootup or a timeout. 2. I only have two options when long pressing the power button, Power Off and Reboot. I've done everything I can think of short of a factory reset, anybody got any ideas?

I also used the backup apps script before going to 1.95, and it did a successful backup. But it didn't do a restore on first boot. I had my phone connected to the PC for charging and there is a default to USB mass storage when loading a new ROM, so I guess the first boot got hosed up. Is there a command to do a restore after the fact?

i am looking at that, and it is from October just wondering if it is the same animal or not.

I have my notification set to sound and vibrate. Yet when an email or txt comes in it rings only. If I change to vibrate only, vibrate notification works. I need sound and vibrate. Anyone else experiencing this.

Have you tried setting it inside the actual email app?

Yes. I tried turning off and turning on. I tried everything. No luck.

Should I reflash? FWIW I installed the GB ROM first and then ran Sephtin's patch a day later to go to the Themed ROM. I was thinking of restoring to Stock and then installing the Themed ROM to see if it fixes it.

I'm starting to see a trend with whatever roms I use.
The battery lasts really long the first time.
But after a full night's charge, it gets drained so fast.
the first time I installed this rom, I had nearly 20 hours.
And now it's been 2 hours and im at 70%.
Maybe my battery is just bad? I haven't done anything to change my phone.
Even the brightness is still the same.

He said he's on 2.3.15... so I wouldn't .sbf to 2.3.320, I'd .sbf back to 2.3.15, and update to the OTA directly...

If you're on 2.3.15, can you just .sbf directly to 2.3.320, and it'll update your baseband/kernel/mbm to 2.3.320 directly?
I've never seen confirmation of that working as an upgrade path... ?
.

Well I did. Not saying it wasn't possibly unique and I got lucky but I sbf'ed from 15 to 320 and didn't have any issues other than I couldn't go back. Not saying its right or wouldn't brick someone but worked for me without incident. I am ocd enough that I too would sbf back and to the ota if I could.

Sephtin

First the battery manager is not installed and i allready tried to install it and no go also how do you change keyboards I am missing that
Option

The battery manager is part of the framework, and isn't in the new framework that Focused uses... so it's a no-go.

To change keyboards (input method)... long press in any text input box, and press input method, to pick the keyboard.

Thank man I though he said he left it out but I was no sure and thank for the keyboard trick i was losing my mind with swype

I actually did the update similar to yours but I think it would be easier just to do the ota just because you are supposed to apply each tbh patch separatley and reboot between. Its just a lengthy process. But then again if you do it that way you always have a full sbf to fall back on only having to apply the patches when done. Both methods will still get you to 2.3.340

Question. I manually updated myself from .320 to the .340 baseband, kernel, system, and bootloader via individual files and verified it was all there. With that said, should installing this ROM be a safe bet even though my .340 update was not OTA?

I have had this happen. My solution was to make sure the battery was 100% and then used the reset battery stats in clockwork recovery and then ran the phone till it shut it self off. it recovered the next charge.

This is not specifc to this rom, just had it happen with a number of roms...
