rubiX Focused 1.9.5

I'm having an issue where Spare Parts is telling that my phone is almost 100% on for WiFi, not sleeping, and Facebook App is constantly pinging for network connectivity, even when set to update every 4hrs.

Any ideas?

Where are you seeing this? Under battery history? I have mine on other usage, since last unplugged and see Running 44%, Screen on 35.3%, Phone on 6.1%, Wifi On 10.1%, Wifi Running 10.1%... are you saying you are seeing Running 100% and Wifi 100%? And where do you see facebook constantly pinging?

Exactly: Running 99%, WiFi on 100%.... Facebook is showing under the Battery History -> Network usage: 85%

I am currently on Rubix Focused 1.9.0. Can I simply upgrade to 1.9.5, or do I have to wipe data/cache as if it were a new ROM?

I tried to find this answer but couldn't. Sorry if it has been asked in this thread.

Sounds like Facebook is the culprit somehow. If it were constantly pinging, that would cause your phone to stay awake. I would uninstall Facebook and try re-installing it from the market.

Where did you try to find this answer? Surely you didn't read post 1 of this thread where the download is found...

Its different framework so you have to wipe.

Inkarnit: I did read page 1 but I took that as how to install if you are installing Rubix 1.9.5 out of the gate and not trying to upgrade. My bad.

Thanks Jordan8! That was the answer I was looking for.

Oh. Well perhaps you can help us reword this so that it isn't confused again. How would you suggest we change this?

"YOU MUST wipe data before install. You CANNOT come from previous rubiX Focused and expect to not boot loop."

Since this pertains to this ROM, for those of you who are Call of Duty: Black Ops Fans - ya gotta check this out :)

I missed that line. You don't have to be a dick.

Considering that you claimed to have looked and couldn't find it, I felt obligated to point it out. It's also mentioned in the FAQ that says "READ BEFORE INSTALLING." Sorry for being a phallic reference, but you asked for it. :)

Is there any way to use the stock news widget that came with the phone? I find that its the best RSS reader out there, and Im really missing it.

Blur? No. It's integrated with about 6 other blur apps.
Only way I know of, is via a Blur ROM.

Also have a question regarding Drod's lowvolt script....applied it but after reboot phone went back to stock vsels. Is there a switch to make persistent?

You would need to create an install-recovery.sh file that calls lowvolt.sh included... Umm stay tuned for how to...

Edit: Before a how-to, let me make sure you are not causing more harm than good... What overclock module are you using? Are you still using the one that was used in 2.2? If that is the case, you will likely not help your battery any by undervolting/overclocking with it.

Not exactly sure what ur asking for? I have the latest updated app from Jrummy. I suppose I could just set the values contained in the script using that

Backup assistant can cause you problems. Framework's different, and doesn't always use the "phone" group of contacts.
You're WAAAAAY better off just saving yourself the headache, and migrating those contacts over to google contacts:
Migrating contacts from "Phone" (BackUp Assistant), to Google Contacts

BUA (BackUp Assistant is great for stock ROMs, but the closer you get the AOSP, the more worthless it becomes.
