Swype Android Beta!!

Has anyone had the old swype expire?

Mine did yesterday. So I came to this forum and saw that we could DL the beta. But in the leaked version, there was the french keyboard, wich isn't in the beta version... So I can't use Swype now, and it pisses me off...
Switching to the physical keyboard FTW !

I think they are expiring all the other versions now to get people to use the Beta. My wife's expired today. I switched to the beta before mine did but I still have the old one on my SD card.

They should just put it on the market and let us buy it...

Can anyone post the version number? I'm not sure it installed correctly for me. When I try uninstalling the previous version it only gives me the option to clear data.

I had the leaked version, deleted it (I think), installed the beta version. It looks the same as the leaked version as far as I can tell.
The version on mine is 0.35.3959 I don't know if this is the leaked or beta.

Ok, I finally got this working. I had to delete the leaked version and download (again) the beta version. One of my problems was that i use xscope as my default browser and it would not d/l the https file correctly. I then typed the https address into my stock browser and the beta file downloaded and I could install it. While doing this though, my email quit working. I could see that I had email and I could click on them, but I got an error. I ended up deleted all my email accounts and reinstalling. Now they work and the beta swype works. I'm not sure that I see a difference between the leaked and the beta version yet, except maybe a color change in the suggested word box.
My beta version is 1.25.16.5652.t100

how'd you remove swype on smoked glass? i've been trying it all day and no luck

I did a search for swype while mounted and selected all and deleted. this didn't work tho. i ended up going thru root explorer and installing from there. you'll get a screen to login to swype and it installs from there. sweet jaysus:-] i was in hell for the last 2 hours without my swype. let me know if that worked for you please.

ok i got it installed, and it said "the swype package is configured for another device and will operate with limited functionality" and i tried using it and it wouldn't even work

maybe I'm just a little paranoid, but is anyone concerned about using swype with passwords? Do we know if there is any communication with HQ going on? Also, how do I see the word dictionary list it uses?

Yes you're just being paranoid imo. The stock dictionary works with swype.
