[ROM] The CM7 Gingerbread ROM (CM4D2-GB) is now ready for prime time!

You are on the froyo kernel. If you want to be on the latest and greatest, you'll have to sbf. Once back on stock, you can go to about phone in settings and dl the ota gb (.601). From there, you can root this new ota with the d3 one click root method (thru your pc), then install cm7 (from revs unofficial nightly page on rootzwiki, whose builds are based on the ota gb kernel)

Area you talking about revs nightlies, or the froyo official nightlies? Revs gb unofficial nightlies are on rootzwiki.

CM7GB-601

Yes the ones on rootzwiki, I downloaded both from my phone, as well as the 8/28 and that is the only one that doesn't abort saying its a bad file

I'm in Terminal Emulator and got into Modcentral...here's the problem, I try to select a number from the list, but the keymapping is off on the hardware keyboard, and I'm getting the symbols from the keys in the second row rather than the numbers from the keys in the first row. Is there a known fix for this?

EDIT: Example, I try to press number 1 and I get ! instead from the Q key.

I found out what this was. I ended up reflashing the ROM, gapps and vr6 of Jake's. Decided to run the overclock before restoring app date from titanium. Worked like a charm. Ran the backups, then tried to run V6 out of it, and got the "&" symbol from option 7. Went into language and keyboard settings, shut off Swifkey X and re-enabled Android keyboard. Viola. So, even though it's a pain, I like this KB app and it's worth it to turn it off and on.

The only issue I have so far is that the DSP manager force closes as soon as I make my first call after a reboot and sometimes randomly on initiating a call.

Anyone else experience this issue?

I get an easy full day out of my phone with no worries. With normal everyday use I still have easily 30% after a 16 hour day.

Now flashing roms and other heavy use items it won't last.

You just have to remember to turn off stuff when you not using it. Make sure you turn wifi when not in use. Change tthe wifi scan intervals, if your running a live wallpaper keep its settings at a minimum. Underclock/undervolt your phone when screen turns off. There's lots you can do to make the battery better(I know you didn't ask). Also make sure you calibrate your battery after flashing roms!

I definitely turn off everything when I'm not using it. I've undervolted using Quickclock and don't run any live wallpapers. I even have Juice Defender running which helps a lot. I never actually ran a full and proper battery calibration though. I forgot about that, and the devs keep coming out with "NEW UPDATES!!!" for everything and I HAVE to flash it.......I know I have a problem.....

Got word this morning that I'm getting a Bionic on release day. I'm excited but sad. This is the best my D2 has ever run, definitely going to keep it and use on Wifi.

with juice defender i was lucky if i got below 50% after a full day. I just didnt like how it shut off data and....other things....I just got annoyed with it. Sounds like you need to do a good ol battery calibration. when flashing the updates you dont need to recalibrate. your not wiping data...just the cache and dalvik. get her to 100% and then run it down to 0% The easy way i found to kill my battery super fast is to just set my over clocker to 1300 HV performance mode, keep the screen from timing out and watch the juice drain. Kills it in like 1-2 hours :) (but ima idiot and this could possibly be bad for your phone)
