so if your on the OTA (4.5.601) will flashing the latest CM7GB nightly change the kernel? The radio freq? when i installed the nightlys from the monster updated GB i was having issues with calls not comming in when people would call me and service was low, but on the offical OTA everything works like a charm :blink:

EDIT: okay, now I'm back at Stock FroYo, time to re-install the rooted GB firmware and flash the backup I made... and try again... that sound like the right order?

Wireless tether auto-starts when I turn wifi on, anyone know how to disable this?

The new nightly (02 SEP) fixes that problem.

with juice defender i was lucky if i got below 50% after a full day. I just didnt like how it shut off data and....other things....I just got annoyed with it. Sounds like you need to do a good ol battery calibration. when flashing the updates you dont need to recalibrate. your not wiping data...just the cache and dalvik. get her to 100% and then run it down to 0% :rockon: The easy way i found to kill my battery super fast is to just set my over clocker to 1300 HV performance mode, keep the screen from timing out and watch the juice drain. Kills it in like 1-2 hours (but ima idiot and this could possibly be bad for your phone)

It is a little of an announce at times, but I just find it so helpful. Trying to run down the battery now.

If you are on stock froyo then get the OTA, don't reflash the monster leak

the backup I made was with the Monster leak and I'm not entirely sure how to root this OTA.

Oh FFS. I flashed the monster leak and then my backup and now it's just chugging along, getting to the M and then rebooting again.

Time to SBF back to FroYo AGAIN and then do the OTA and root from there, I guess...

Woah, wait. Do this:
Sbf
Install the ota
Root with the d3 one click root (z4 won't work)
Then bootstrap to get into cw
Then wipe everything and install cm7 9-2 build and gapps
Reboot.
Any other way will screw you

The OTA is your best bet. SBF to stock, go to Settings> About Phone> Check for Updates. Download and install the new android update which is GB official, then you can use One Click Root to root it. After that, boot into recovery, wipe data, cache and dalvik and flash CM7, Gapps and Jakebitesmods(optional). Reboot and you're on CM7GB.
