So far mine seems fine, I threw out ADW and installed GoLauncher instead.

how the heck did you uninstall ADW?

how do you reboot into clockwork? do you have to reinstall Bootstrapper after CM7 is installed?

You should be able reboot into clockwork just by long pressing the power button, choosing reboot and then choosing recovery. You don't want to use Bootstrapper with CM7 at all from what I understand.

You can uninstall ADW using Titanium backup. Click the app and choose uninstall. Been doing this since Froyo. Just make sure you install your new launcher first!

Also the launcher is uber slow. am i wasting battery and performance if i throw something like Golauncher Ex in?

Yes. I use launcher pro plus (the best one out there imo). I would never use anything else

I have the paid versions of LPP and ADW, the only thing I don't like about LPP is you can't take an icon on the homescreen and just change it right from there, can you? I had to get Desktop Visualizer and create a widget for each app. Greatly increased loading time and slowed the thing down.

Not sure I follow. Does this take me (droid 2) from CM7 rooted GB back to stock? To me it looks like a way to root a stock droid 3?

What do you mean change it? Make it bigger or smaller? With the plus ver you can. I haven't found a faster launcher yet, plus the lp widgets are great (plus ver) and I get a better feeling of response when scrolling (adw feels jumpy and abrupt imo)

No. This will root ota gb on a variety of devices (d2 included). This is how you will root the ota to be able to get on cm7 gb

If you are already on cm7 gb, you would have needed to use the above method to root the ota (unless you mean you're still on cm7-froyo kernel)

Yep, answered your post before coffee. This is how you root your new GB droid 2. I don't have a mac method, sorry.
