I'm so new at this but can someone tell me what this unlock the bootloader thing is? How do I do this and why would I want to do that? This is my first 4G smart phone so I have no idea.

Are you planning on flashing customs roms or kernels or anything like that? If not then I wouldn't worry about unlocking the boot loader

Do we really need to root since this is a stock phone just wondering if Titanium Backup will back everything up without having to root on ICS. I will be using this phone for work and really dont want to have to root it.

Woot woot. Just got my baby today! There were about 15-20 people waiting outside along with me although a few of them were waiting for the whit droid razor....Took me about an hour to get out the store but i wasnt mad! Espescially since i got an additional $50 on top of my ne2 upgrade

Got mine at Southglenn VZW store in Centennial CO. They opened 10 minutes early. Walked in, one other nexus customer behind me. In and out in 15 minutes.

• There doesn't appear to be Facebook sync available - when I install the Facebook app, and then go to add an account under Sync settings, Facebook shows up, but I can't choose anything. I don't know if this is a meaningful observation yet.

So does anyone know about the "Verizon Login" app that came preinstalled and whether or not I can safely disable it? I'd really like to remove anything verizon from this phone.

I read in one of the reviews that they had removed Facebook sync. The reviewer didn't know if they would add it in later or not. It also stated that the phone is tightly integrated with G+, so he thought maybe it wouldn't be added in later but he didn't know for sure.
