The "Official" Waiting for an Update Thread

Wasn't 4.1 being tested in a NDA? I vaguely something blowing up on twitter about this as P3Droid hand his hands on it. I'm sure its possible but unlikely at this point.

Will this next update help with battery at all. I'm not happy at all with my battery life on the nexus it's horrible. God forbid I use this phone even with texting the battery flies on it

Barely used any internet on it it's been about 4.5 hours...several texts it's at 72 percent

New thread coming soon-Android 4.0.5 coming mid June.Remember I said it first.

I will keep that in mind, however if not true you will end up in a category with this BMX turkey. LOL

According to a very nice & revealing Tech at VZW that June statement is actually not too far off believe it or not.

I was told the GNex is about to have its day in the sun in June.

16 items being fixed in this "June update".

She said "If you can hold out for another month your going to have one kick ass phone" lol. And I believe her.....

I have spoken to many a tech flatulance and this one was typing away at her computer and all i heard on the other end was wow. She then said 16 issues are being fixed in an update after may.

I asked further about this so called update she told me I cannot give you exact dates or build numbers blah blah blah she was pretty adamant about not revealing too much.

She had in front of her the screen with all the release dates for all current devices. The RAZR, RAZR MAXX etc have a big update this month (probably ics).

It was a good convo. And I'm a very sceptical person. I can tell when its bull****. This was not that.

No offense Spydaz but calling a VZ tech (even a seemingly knowledgeable one) a source, won't work for the majority. Techs are typically the last to know anything about updates, phones coming out, etc. They wait until they are given official documentation. Add in the fact that we just received a soak test for 4.0.4 (that was promptly pulled from the server) and I'm not ready to buy into anything. You are welcome to believe what you like (and very well could be right) but until I see an update screenie, I'm going to remain skeptical. I'd say 2-3 months before we sniff another OTA

I completely understand your statement and I believe the same. I'm taking this with a large grain of salt, with that only time will tell.......
