4.0.5 isnt coming out anymore since Google+ Samsung just announce a new samsung nexus collaboration.LOL and verizon is to busy planning to push window phones. Samsung are to busy staging stunts at Apple. :icon_eek:

Huh? There is supposed to be a 4.05? haha Not likely IMO... I gave up waiting and AOKP will soon be released with latest 4.0.4 build changes (IMM76I) . Forget Verizon and their OTA or whoever is supposed to push those so called OTA's.

I'm getting pretty sick of the lack of updates. I wasn't originally planning to root/unlock this phone, but it's really starting to look like I should. If I do go that route, is there a good way for me to backup my application and application data before unlocking the bootloader?

The blame for lack of official updates has to be placed clearly on the shoulders of Verizon. The Sprint Nexus was released with 4.0.4 and updated prop blobs.

Now the beauty of the Nexus is that with the unlockable bootloader and open source, it makes it easy for devs to get the updated builds out to us. The only problem is that Google doesn't include the updated prop blobs because we are CDMA. We would need a Verizon OTA for that. These updated prop blobs could help many with the radio issues. Come on Verizon...
