Verizon begins sending customers early upgrade promotions

I called the number in the video late Wednesday. I just got an email confirming it has been shipped and is arriving Monday. Woo-hoo!

Okay, enough with the petition posts hijacking a bunch of threads. Back to the early upgrade promotions. I posted a couple of days ago that it worked for me. I ordered the Droid X. Has anyone else who ordered on Wednesday afternoon received an email at all, whether it's to confirm the order to to notify you that it's being shipped? I haven't received anything yet.

After I ordered mine, I received an email saying "congrats on your new phone"... one of those dealy's. I haven't received a confirmation email or shipping notice yet, but it just got approved yesterday evening (it was in queue for a couple days).

Ordered mine on Wednesday as well when that promotion was sent out. I got an email yesterday, with a tracking number because it has already shipped. I'll have mine on Monday!

Same exact thing with me. I cant wait till Monday

I confirmed that the # in video works as I just upgraded to the X after just upgrading in April to droid 1. They asked if I got promotion told them I seen the video for early upgrade, verizon is happy to honor that promotion. ETA 2days..

I called back today for update since I didn't receive tracking #, now by the 3rd they said.

Wow I am about to give up. I called a total of 4 times to the 800 # and each time a different person said to forward the message to them. Guess I just have awful luck

Got it on my first try. Gave them a call today and I got a really nice rep who let me do the upgrade without any hassle whatsoever. I wasn't scheduled for an upgrade until 7/2011.

I just told her I received a flyer in the mail about it and I would like to take advantage of it. I was talking to her in a nice and mannered voice and she did it without saying anything.

couldnt get it done. called four times. I went ahead and added a line plus got the $199 price without the MIR. Thought I was money when the rep went to discuss the situation with his supervisor. Some advice for others would be... somehow very politely get the rep to get supervisors approval for the override. Don't just roll up with "well get your supervisor on the phone". Be tactful and it may work out for you.

Finally!! i called 6 times and no dice, then the seventh time i finally got someone to do it. I told them i got a flyer in the mail with the 800 437 6133 phone number on it, she put me on hold for a while then told me she was not affiliated with that number (even though thats the number i called?) and she would transfer me there, then the person she transfered me too was cool and basically said the same thing about having to get supervisor approval to do it, but i didn't have to ask her to do it she just did it. Now i have an X for me and my wife on the way. Thanks for the tips guys

Awesome. Seventh time is the charm.

Overall it worked out for me as I was going to add a line in the near future. My plan was to upgrade my og droid to the X, add a line to get another droid 1, and enshrine my OG Droid.

Well hopefully this new line won't be subject to the tiered plans.

I was able to upgrade my wife's line which was activated only a week before mine. She has a blackberry. They wouldn't let me upgrade my D1 though, but told me once I get the phone to call back in and add the DX to my line and leave my wife on the blackberry

I am on strike two. the last guy gave me a mailing address to send the flyer to just to prove I have it. He said if he put the order in it would be rejected without proof.

i tried about 3 times with no luck. they seem to have a way of checking who actually received the message/flyer.
