Verizon begins sending customers early upgrade promotions

I called the number on the text message and ask about the early upgrade promo for the X and was told that I could get the X. Oredered it and it will be here sometime next week. Got order confirmation right after hanging up. Here is to hoping mine gets shipped early.

I called again and got a different rep and was told I have to wait till 11-06-10 to do an early upgrade, every time I call I get one step closer, I will be calling again later

For anyone that upgraded early, how long did it take to get the phone shipped? I ordered on Tuesday, just wondering when I can expect the phone... very anxious :(

Hopefully mine ships early too. I just got off phone with verizon and was told that my upgrade had finally been approved.

Help! I called the 800 number twice. First time the lady was really nice but checked out my upgrade date which is 9/30/2011. She said I wasn't eligible. Second time a guy told me the same thing. I asked about the droid x promos I didn't even mention the text video message. What am I doing wrong??

You aren't necessarily doing anything wrong. Most of the time it just depends on who you talk to, and how you approach it. As far as I know, your upgrade date is of no consequence in regards to this promo, so I don't see why some reps are using this as a reason not to even consider upgrading under this promo (but I could be wrong). Just keep calling that 800 number and mention the promotion, specifically that you got the invitation. I've read on here some reps demand proof or look in the system for it, so if they do... try again. I got lucky and it only took my first call.
