Compare the same app and game on ios to android and point out the better android ones. Most of our apparently are ports from ios and are missing features. I own a Droid and an ipod I can easily compare
Angry Birds is FREE.
You do realize that this forum is for Droid Enthusists right?

My buddy has an Iphone. Half the sites I visit on my droid x I would not be able to view on his phone, epic fail! He does have itunes however, which is a plus, I'm still waiting patiently for this so called google music thats suppose to be like itunes but for android phones.

You can download music from other sites currently. I believe walmart has one.

And I am one im just not ignorant.angry birds is free with lame adds but the game itself isn't better on android. What about facebook, mlb at bat, infinity blade, grand theft auto, their gd games, I could go on.

The day I've dreaded for so long is finally here... At least they didn't do this last year when it would have strangled Android in the cradle. I don't know how Android will fare, the Apple brand name is so strong and the sheeple are just obsessively draw to it, even though they are giving up functionality, freedom, and big $$$ (you have to pay for almost every app on Iphone, whereas every Android app I've used to far has been free).

The good news is that AT&T has stated that they are going to be a much bigger Android partner now, and since Verizon was showing off all the Android 4G devices, it doesn't seem (hopefully) that Verizon will be giving Android the cold shoulder, either, especially since they make way more money off us than iPhone users.

As for Sprint and T-Mobile, they should merge, then file an antitrust lawsuit against Verizon, AT&T and Apple for unfair restraint of trade.

We'll see what happens... I hope Android will survive... long live Android, long live freedom!!!

Apple has had more time to develop the iPhone than Google has had Android.

It's not an apples to apples comparison. It's apples and oranges. Excuse the horrific puns.

Shadez, Your post has some incorrect information. The iPhone that is being made available will not take advantage of LTE. The Q and A part of the announcement revealed that LTE would have required farther adjustments and they weren't prepared to change the device that much. 4G data (LTE) is not capable on Verizon's 4th Generation iPhone...It runs off of Ev-DO (3G) Just to clarify.

It didn't say it would be 4g capable...at least I didn't read that, but since VZW is launching 4g at the same time many people will jump on it. And releaving potential stress on the 3g network. Improving speed for Iphone users compared to the bogged down ATT network. That's how I read it anyways.

Sent from somewhere...

This makes me more likely to jump to a 4g phone. I just wish the network was here in the Detroit Metro Area so I could use it.
I see the release of the iPhone in verizon as a plus for all those that will be switching networks but as a huge minus, when it comes to my network speed. The 3g speeds in my location seem to have been getting slower and slower over the last 8 months. Heck I use my droid at home over my wifi connection because its faster.

He said there was more games, not better ones, I've just pointed out his wrongness over and over.

I love android, don't get my wrong, but the iphone 4 really is a great phone. The retina display is amazing, there's never any lag, facetime is great, and the app store just has a lot of awesome apps that the android market just doesn't have yet. Let's not forget how easy to use iTunes is, and being able to purchase and download videos through itunes is great. For android... you have to like download mp4's randomly on the web if you want that.

If I had money and an upgrade, I would probably consider getting the iphone XP. Who's going to throw rocks at me now? :)

That's the biggest problem with iPhone--the browser stinks royally and you have few other options. There is no Dolphin for iPhone and never will be. You're forced to use "dumbed down" web sites that automatically "reformat" for iPhone whether you want to or not.

The reason why there are so many "apps" on the iPhone is 'cos the browser stinks and the only way to get full functionality from a web site is to use an app!

Why would anyone willingly downgrade themselves with the most important feature of a smartphone--the browser?

I think you guys are on the same team. :)

Let's not have a civil war ! lol

yes iphone n smooth n simple....but its generic...everyones iphone looks the same...tis for the simple dumb down masses who think its a cool brand name n no nothing of life and intelligence...everyones droid phone can be customized to reflect their likes...i love red...my phones themed red lol just an example...androids open source n customization will always rain supreme to iphones standard blah...also flash is a hugge plus dont give me your jail broken garbage...

one thing i will give is ios is smooth and the games are better....guess what its been out longer then android...android will catch up if not already has...android phones are now just as fast and with the upgrades coming out in the os i guarentee will be as equaly smooth...just wait for the bionic play with a bionic and a i4 in the store then tell me which one you rather have...i win

these are the droids we been lookin for son!

There are Porsche, Lamborghini's, Ferarris ... its alll just opinion.

Meh...there's no way I'm switching to an inferior phone/OS. Verizon could tell me they would give it to me for free with lifetime free service... and I still wouldnt take it.
