Verizon Planning a Big Data Plan Price Jump

Alright...Now I'm shopping. They're suggesting I go down to the 4GB plan for a savings of $28 and change per month. Strangely, when I select the 8GB plan, it still shows a potential savings of $11 and change...If that's truly the case, maybe I will jump to the new plan. Just worried their math is wrong. Line access of only $20 on the new plan where it's $40 on my current plan? What gives @jackiescivic?

Lines under contract will be $40 until contract ends. Then they will automatically drop to the $20. I want to say I've seen the system drop a phone down to the $20 when there's only a month or so left of the contract when doing a plan change, but I don't know for sure.

Are you using the "My Verizon Nexus" app? Cause that one's a bastard app that gets little to no love. It didn't change. The straight-up My vzw app is supposed to be getting updated as well.

Still, if I can actually save money over what I'm paying now and get more data (that we still don't NEED), I guess I'd be a fool not to take that offer...

Were you on the Verizon Plan previously? If you were on the More Everything plan, you did NOT automatically get a discount when your line became eligible. Then back in March, they took away the option to even apply the month-to-month discount on that same plan

Yeah. I switched to the Verizon plan shortly after it was available. Saves money in the process. Though, at the time, I was still in a device payment plan for the Note 4. Maybe that was still under contract & it didn't fall off automatically?

Yeah. When we first got the 6P's, I'm pretty sure I was able to install the regular my Verizon app, but it was janky. Then I found the Nexus version & installed that. Checked last night when I saw that the app was supposed to get updates too & can't find the regular version.

Also, I feel like mine should say $40 line access because I have 2 lines, but it's saying $20.
