Verizon Planning a Big Data Plan Price Jump

I just upgraded to the new plan @TisMyDroid you do keep the promotional data! I had 6gigs of promo data and it's still there.

Thanks @droidprincess. In the past, data always ate up the promo data first then went to the paid data so any data leftover should be rollover data. I currently have 16gb promo data and 18gb paid data ($100). I may go for the $90 16gb with safety mode.

Me too, from the new My Verizon app. There must be a catch here somewhere? So,it's saying that if I upgrade my current XL plan to the new XL plan I will get 16 GB of data instead of 12....and save $4.50 a month over my current bill because of the discount. Hmmmm, there has to be "fine print" somewhere. o_O

Yeah, be careful with that. I've gone as far as moving on to the Review Changes screen that's right after that and that wasn't the case.

Estimated Savings was $11.90, but when I got to the next page, my "Previous Monthly" was $88.60 and "New Monthly" was 96.70.

That's not a savings to me.

I'm with ya Jonny, a little hesitant about this. But I am on the final "Submit Changes" screen and it shows my new monthly bill will be $3.50 less than the one I just paid last week.

Might be worth it for me to download some of my tunes to my phone again and drop down to the 4GB plan, I guess. Think I'll stay where I'm at for now. Wife doesn't care. She said I should decide since I use most of the data.

Just spoke with customer service no promo data! Also, if anybody uses Family base to limit their families data... the representative said that when that member uses their allowed data it just shuts them off. The "safety mode" data doesn't pick up until the entire amount of data for the account is used. Just thought I'd share that bit of info.
