Finally.....We have the most intelligent post in this forum since I joined and me and a co-worker are astounded it took this long for someone else to say it. Thank you and he is the only one so far in here that is telling the truth,,my god I posted this info before and oh well.

Ummm, actually, several of us have said pretty much the same thing regarding Verizon not giving the info to the reps.

Actually, I can make that comment on here as an observation as I wish. So can anyone else that cares to do so. But thank you for informing me when and where I can post things.

You're right and I apologize for my part in this. As it seems now, there is basically an issue between Motorola and Adobe regarding flash that is holding up the release. It is believed that this update and others will continue, but they are delayed while issues are being ironed out. Not sure if anyone knows if the issues are actual performance items or if they are financial, if not both. But the indications are that the roll out will occur, just at a date that has yet to be determined.

I am not sure this witty repartee is helpful to those of us wondering about updates to our Droid.

You're right, it's not helpful except possibly as a bit of levity (in some cases -- the arguing isn't helpful to anyone) to help pass the time while the update gets ironed out. However long that'll be.

However, I'm sure that as soon as the updates start rolling again we'll get a post on the front page regarding it. If you're looking for a signed update.zip to manually update to FRG01B, however, a link and install instructions can be provided to you easily, and then you'll have what was supposed to be the OTA update until it was yanked. It won't block the official OTA since some phones did receive the update and they will be updated when the OTA resumes.

The issue is not being able to run 2.2 its with flash integration

I dunno... Like someone else just pointed out, Flash isn't part of the OS, it's an addon. That alone just doesn't seem to rise to the level of pulling the rollout, if that has indeed been done.

FRG01 had some major issues with some apps (Facebook), which required ironing out. FRG22 broke the Exchange compatability (according to some posts I've read on here), and there may be further issues with security. These only became clear after the OTA was started. Once they're fixed (and they may be waiting for full Flash integration to boot), I'm sure the new OTA will be rolling post haste.

My American cousins. Please consider yourselves blessed. You can push 2.2 to your Droids and add Flash all be it in Beta. We poor Milestone users not only now have to put up with the strong probability of not getting 2.2 but also have to suffer the humiliation now of seeing a rival that was never supposed to have Flash at all get it before us owners of "Flash ready" (not) Motorola offerings. Yes iPhone 4 has Flash

Your Droid has a life still through modding etc. looks like our Millstones are dead in the water. Go in peace brothers and pray for us losers. :icon_ cry:

I got another critical question to ask. If Froyo is not being pushed, how does then Droid 2 will be released, since must contain Android 2.2? I believe similarities in OS does exists.

If the update is actually pulled for the D1, what are my options on a currently unrooted Droid? I have (but not installed) FRG01b, an FRG22-DEODEXED version and the Easy Root app. Should I go with the FRG01b or root?
