if 30mpg was at all possible wouldn't you think Chevy would rate it 30mpg? they already exaggerate their mpgs... unless he's driving down hill in neutral.. but eventually you'll have to go back uphill

They do advertise it as that. 19 and 30 I think are the numbers. And as far as highway MPG goes it's very accurate and very doable. My friend had an 06 gto and he did 30+ even though his car was rated at a max of 25.
He drove my g37 from NY to Atlantic city and got over 35 on it for the whole trip (including minor city driving) even though my car is rated at 25 highway MPG.
They don't exaggerate MPG they just drive in certain conditions. They get these ratings on machines not actual driving conditions.
15/24

no idea how.. I head out to Atlantic city from NYC a few times a year and get around what my cars rated.. same with my friends cars... plus everyone's driving 70/80 which is horrible for mpg

All depends on how you drive it. If you baby it you can get 30 on America v8s.

Stop arguing lol I have the same car and it is easy to get 31 mpg on flat highways... Obviously uphill isn't as good but eventually you get to go back down so it more than makes up for it.
70mph at 1650 rpms, with a .31 cod, and only 3100 lbs and gobs of torque works wonders on the highway. Period.
I was able to get better than 30mpg with my Z06.. and it was tuned with a custom CAI kit on it made in Houston...and it was a 2011...505 hp/470 lb ft of torque.. stock... for the LS7... I'm kicking around the idea of getting the blue devil.
