I have. I found a couple older 2013 Moto X's for $150 to $200 but then I'm spending $$$ for a phone while I'm waiting on a phone. I'm going to keep babying this. FDR didn't do much so I think it's a hardware issue.
edit - Just looked again, they are $100.
Really? I've been using it again for a while now with no issue. Of course, I haven't had a multitude of group texts like I WAS having, but my wife has sent me a few pictures of things around the house.
I'm not a fan of Hangouts for SMS/MMS. I just don't like the aesthetics.

It was my go to for hangouts and sms/mms until the Aug 10th update. Now I have to use two different apps to do the same thing. I'm not the Government I don't need redundancy but until it's fixed I do.
Ah! That could very well be. We got the stagefright patch for sure, so that kinda makes sense.
I know many people feel that way, but I just don't get it. I don't really care about the aesthetics. I just want something to show me the messages I've sent, let me send my own, and send/receive pictures and group texts. I also really love Hangouts' new Android Wear integration.
I don't need fancy colors or anything like that. Like Mustang, I keep Hangouts installed for the occasional Hangouts message I receive. Since it does SMS/MMS too, I don't see a point in installing another app for just that purpose when the one can handle both and has some nice added features for my watch.
With that said, I'm considering giving Google Messenger another try on my 6P. I believe that's being shipped as the stock SMS client now?
I liked Messenger, and I do Hangouts for group messages, but I just don't like how it lumps both SMS and group messages into one list. If they divided it by tabs or something I might get back to using it. I don't mind two apps installed. I use Textra now and it's nice.

And I don't mind how they lump it all together. It's pretty obvious which ones are group messages, there are more recipient names there. Haha! Where it gets a little hairy is when you're talking to many of the same people in different group conversations, but not ALL of the same people and have to be careful to make sure you're not sending a message to the wrong group.
Side note (since this whole thread is a side note), I got a text AND and email from Affirm last night reminding me that my first payment on my plan for the 6P is due on the 2nd. Wonder if they'd be mad if I withhold payment until I receive the device...?

That's why I'm holding out hope that they'll ship sooner than the estimates you guys got. Of course, I ordered mine from Huawei instead of Google, but they said they'd ship at the same time.
