While we wait ....

I'm not sure that'll fly since Affirm doesn't have anything to do with the phone, really. They pay Huawei & I make payments to them. I mean, even Google charges your card right as they ship the device. You won't have it in hand before you owe. But, you'd have it in hand before you make your first credit card payment with that balance on it.

I don't see how it's any different than us. We pay for the phone once it ships, not before. Your insurance shouldn't be activated or started until you receive the device you're insuring. What happens if the device doesn't ship until december? You've paid for a month of insurance and lost a month without an actual device.

I'd definitely call them.. Also see about arranging what date you like to pay I'm sure most cards give you option..

This isn't insurance. It's who I financed through.

Ah. It appears it's just their policy for the first bill to be due a month after the credit is approved. Don't think they'll be budging and no guarantee that I'll have the phone before the first bill is due.

Your first monthly payment will be due one calendar month from the date your loan is processed. We will send you an email and SMS text message to confirm all of your billing due dates.

Each monthly payment will be due on the same day of the month throughout the loan period. For example, if you obtain a loan with three monthly payments on January 1st, your first, second, and third payments will be due February 1st, March 1st, and April 1st respectively.

I'm still holding out hope that maybe there weren't many people who ordered from Huawei and I'll get mine sooner, but I doubt it'll happen that way.

Like I said, I don't NEED a new phone, but the waiting is killing me.

I know we're all anxious... let's try to remember we done this to ourselves. In less than a month we'll be talking about how awesome this device is, custom ROMs, latest Themes, etc. This will all be good for a chuckle.

In the meantime, I'm heading to Mustang's to watch some paint dry .....
