From Motorola Site, part of the page reads:

For optimal performance, we encourage you to download and install this latest software update.

That's worded as if we can manually do it from their site. Surely they mean when we get the OTA notification, correct?

I'm still too paranoid to manually update my phone or do anything to void my warranty. If I screw it up, I can't afford a replacement phone for the near future.

Yes pretty sure they mean when you get the OTA notification.

Reset

Well, I've had Jrummy's FRG01B installed for about 4 hours now and I just watch my Droid reset while it was sitting in my dock, not doing anything.

That worries me just a bit. I can't say I've never seen it reset but it's only happened once or twice since I've had it and I got it in November.

So far, the clean install has smoothed out my phone tremendously. Even after just one hour on the patch install, the phone was sluggish, especially on the homescreen. The clean install is much smoother, and everything is much more responsive. Hardware keyboard seems to work correctly too now, which is very nice. *knock on wood*

I have no idea where FRG22 came from, but I'm going to stop worrying about it now :)

Time will tell if this "full" version works better than the "patched" version, though I didn't have too many issues to speak of with last week's FRG01B.
search the market and see if Adobe Flash shows up.

C'mon CK, not fair, there have been threads saying that they'll have flash in market for froyo on the 18th or somethin ...

lol RW-1 I was honestly curious if it would show up....

When I ran a build of Sapphire it showed up for me. Thus the question

At any rate I didn't come across any post that mentioned it (somebody probably did but I didn't see it)

yes flash showed up for me to on a build of sapphire, but most of my other apps did not. I'd rather have the bulk of my apps show up legitimately and install flash manually than the other way around.

I so badly want to root my phone again, but now I use it for work and just can't risk random reboots (even though as you say, they were usually few and far between).

More importantly I guess, my phone would probably be offline half the time because I was flashing new ROMS. hehe :)

I STRONGLY agree : )

I don't even care about Flash to be perfectly honest.

lol interesting, how he'd get that to happen ?

I'm not worrying about this one, FRG22 is fine with me, with the exception of GG, which may yet be a kernal issue, not with the build.

Oh yeah, I got root explorer today to ditch astro and the other file managers, love it....

Bring on Gingerbread!

+1 - haven't found much good use for it except to simply say "I've got flash on my phone" and then pat myself on the back... It sure doesn't run real smooth, but maybe that'll change by the time it's "officially" released.
