ALERT! 2.2 FroYo Circus continues...FRG01B is Official get it here.

i received the ota this morning. installed w/o any problems. seems cool so far.

As I expected the updates have not been completed. I expect another week maybe, no reason for that guestimate just pulling a number from the sky.

Thanks for letting us know the OTA is still going out this morning.

I guess I feel it's almost my duty to remind people that you don't have to wait for the OTA update. Now I know a lot of you think that's the best way to go, but there are more things that can go wrong with the OTA update then with an on line install.

Page 1 is where it begins. :)

And I know some of you are tired of having people say don't wait, just install it. Well, we're are trying to help people here. Sometimes it can be repetitive.

Well the 18th has come and gone and I still don't have it. I'm manually installing the one from this thread when I get home tonight. I'm sick of waiting. What really ticked me off is a coworker got it yesterday and we each bought ours from the same store on the same day at the same time, but he got the update and I didn't.

So tired of this whole process. :icon_evil:

Got my update this morning and now I have no camera installed. What can I do about that? Anyone know?

I'm reading that uninstalling a third party light application will fix the camera.

I had a little green droid where my camera app was and when I clicked on it it said Application not installed. I deleted my flashlight and the green droid was still there with the same message. I brought up all my appications and the icon for the camera was in there so I just moved it to desktop and it works fine. Don't know if it was there before I uninstalled the light or not cause I didn't look. Works fine now. Thanks

It sounds like everyone is having little quirks in the system that are causing problems. I've heard messaging and camera problems...

Honestly, if a problem is with an app on the phone that came with the phone, I say do a little research online (like what ksparr did), and if you can't find a proper fix, go to Verizon. It may be something in Froyo that is causing it to work incorrectly that they can fix.

I hope everyone gets their phones working properly, I'm enjoying this :) and my mom already wants me to give her lessons, lol...

I just need to figure out whats up with my lag.

Oh, and my friend received the OTA update which bricked his phone. He got stuck with the large "M" staring back at him and is getting a new phone shipped to him. Good times.....

If it's still lagging after a couple of hours and a reboot hasn't fixed it, you'll need to manually install the update from the OP to clear it up. If your phone boot-loops on you, try to get back into recovery. If you cannot do that, no matter what you do, contact Verizon about getting a new phone.

Oh, and I'm currently collecting Droid-shaped paperweights, so if Verizon lets anyone keep their brick, let me know. :)

Now that I have it, I checked the market and Flash 10.1 beta is not in there.
I need to research how to install it.

You'll find a lot of information all over. http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-general-discussions/70926-official-flash-market.html This is the latest thread I've been helping out on, with download links to the latest version and install instructions.

That means the shortcut was borked. That's probably the complaint most people are having because the camera app was changed and/or installed in a new location after the update. Anyone else having this issue should check the app drawer and make a new shortcut on the desktop after verifying the camera button works. If the camera button doesn't, there's an issue and it may require a trip to a VZW store.

So is it safe to assume that after your long journey you have it working 100% now? :)

Hook, can you say what light app it was?

ksparr, by desktop do you mean one of the home screens?

One thing about the apps, I noticed that Twitter had the "automatically allow updates" feature checked and I did not check it. I will check all that I have installed now, but the others I had looked at did not have that box checked.
