Downgrade to 902 - No app or data loss

One more thing...I'll point out the irony of the fact that my script is supposed to make things quicker and easier. At this point, you could have FXZ'd 10 times already and restored all your apps. That is certainly another option here if your frustration level gets too high.

But where's the fun and excitement in that? It's the thrill of the hunt that counts!

Well, you know, sometimes people might want to get on with things. I wouldn't blame them. :)

I know and I agree completely. Just trying to lighten the mood a tad.

You really do need that donate button though. There are a whole lot of us that you have helped out already and I'm sure a whole lot more that you will help in the future that wouldn't mind buying you that beer. :pint:

I look at it differently, but, do appreciate the sentiment. I learned a lot from many in the community and the OG Droid community before that. My philosophy has always been to pass on what I've learned to others. This is my first real contribution to the community and I'm extremely pleased that it's helped so many people so far. The good thing is I've written the script with the future in mind. We can update the FXZ and it won't change the script at all. We can update root and we can update the script pretty easy to handle that. The updates we push from the updates dir are dynamic, so, say we get 231 tomorrow, we can easily push that by dropping it in there. Gotta always think ahead with these kinds of these things. :)

I agree with you about passing on what you know to others because that is how I am and how these forums grow and new hacks are learned but sometimes people who feel they don't have anything to share yet just want to show there appreciation by buying a beer for who ever helped them.

I also agree completely with that. I would do the same if I could offer more. I came in with the OG as well, but never had the time to learn as much as I would have liked (work, wife and kids haven't allowed it). I did notice how you set things up and thought the same about being able to drop in any future files and still have it work. Good on you for the work so far. It doesn't go unappreciated.

I'm wondering if bigred dropped it for now or decided to call it a night. I really was hoping to see how this panned out before I went to bed.

It's late for me as well. Hopefully he either set it aside for a bit or got it working. If not we'll continue tomorrow. Thanks for the support!

I keep getting the error lines when fxzing back to 902 in the process 'adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command...yadda yadda
'moto-fastboot' is not recognized as an internal or external command...yadda yadda

my folder looks just like the OP's screen shot and I definitely have the win32 fastboot files and moto drivers are up to date. What next?

I get all sorts of errors:

error: cannot load 'mbm.bin'
error: cannot load 'cdt.bin'
error: cannot load 'logo.bin'
error: cannot load 'ebr'
error: cannot load 'mbr
error: cannot load 'device_tree.bin'
error: cannot load 'system.img'
error: cannot load 'boot.img'

Along with recovery, cdrom, preinstall, and grfs. These are ALL in the same directory. Not sure what the issue is

FWIW, When I had troubles with the batch file, before it was updated, I updated mine manually with the following command format and it worked perfectly:

adb reboot-bootloader

Funny... after struggling for about 20 hours on and off with this, the thought crossed my mind that I could have FXZ'd back to 902 and reinstalled everything in the same amount of time, but most of the issues I faced weren't with the script, they were my own mistakes dealing with bad downloaded ZIP files. In spite of this, I still prefer the script because I'm sure I can use it again when the next leak or OTA comes out without trouble.

Thanks for mentioning the possibility of a bad download. That was it! Re-downloaded and I no longer got the errors.

Although, I did get an error about flashing webtop and it said there was not enough space. I hope this doesn't mean webtop will not be working once I get onto .230 ICS.

Did you extract the 902 fxz?
