Downgrade to 902 - No app or data loss

o well waiting for it to download on my phone now... about halfway thru on 4g... looks like i may be installing tomorrow morning now hahaha

you realize it goes on your PC and not your phone, right? HoB 7.0 and Components get installed on your phone, but I realize that your phone may be your best "downloader" speed wise (although you could hotspot it if your PC has a wireless card or you have a wifi router)

So far so good, almost done installing .246, thanks Sam for making this such a breeze. When I get it up and running I will see if I get widget not updating bugs, and apps disappearing that were on the media partition like last time when I tried .232, if I do I'll do a FSR and this thing should be a beast!

Success!!! .232 to .246!!! Thanks Sam!!! HOB Rules!!!!!

Only weird thing was the Verizon Auto Wifi app tells me it is only available for VZW users, i hit ok then it goes about working!!??!!

I had to reinstall my google now as well... reinstalled and working like a charm!!!

Root works as well!!!!

By the way, anyone know why ICS upgrade bugs out apps on the media area? Last time I upgraded, they all "disappeared" but they still took the space up on my SD card, leaving me to believe they were still on there but put somewhere incompatible with ICS. I can just reinstall which is fine, but I was just curious, seems like an annoying bug for people who have a lot of apps.

Someone else noticed that. No idea what causes it. It'll happen to all the 905 to ICS OTA upgraders, too. Awesome.

didn't do it to me, and I've run most of them since the start, but I have FDRed right after all installs before I let the market restore all of the public apps, installed my few non-market apps (bootstrap touch etc), and restored data when I was on all of the old security builds, didn't going 232-244, everything was ICS to ICS flawless.

Quick question Sam, I read all the FAQ's and whatnot, and this was not in there. I have a hunch, but I'm not gonna make an assumption so I'll just ask you. I applied the update and am still in the wipe cache partition menu. I wiped the cache, but am I safe to just wipe data/factory reset too now, before I choose "reboot system now" into ICS? I'm just gonna FDR it now and reload everything rather than even try loading it up and having it be all buggy with my media area apps.

Yup, I recommend it to people having problems or who want a fresh start. That is the proper time to do it.

to piggy back off of that question do you recommend it to people coming from 905 to do both? just checking bc if so im gonna make a list of my apps to make sure it redownloads all of them haha
