Ha, that might of been from me a while back. I bootlooped with a dead battery and after a long search I found this on some forum somewhere. He is right, strip a non needed usb cable, all wires are the same. Take the red and put it on the postive (+) and black on the negative (-) sides of the battery. Leave for a few hours and you should be good to go.
Only way I was able to charge my phone. Now a I have spare though as I bought an extended battery so I have my other as spare.

Trying it now. Actually looking more positive than anything else I have tried thus far today. Actually went into fastboot for a second and for the first time it says Battery Ok. So, I'll leave it like this for a while and get back with everyone later to let you know my status

Thank you EVERYONE. :hail:

read my post.. make sure you are not using a ac charger!!!!! use a usb cable.. a usb cable..

i read about this method.. it's call the Ghetto method and not recommend because the battery can blow up.. hence the 30 min limit
the person was using a ac charger with strip wires.. not from a usb wire plug in to a usb plug

I keep that in mind. Personally, I would have never done it with an ac charger wire that just seems unsafe. I figure a USB charge carries far less voltage.

try this.. it's not from me..
Take a USB cable and strip the end that you plug into your phone and take the battery out of your bionic and place the red wire on + and the black wire on the - side. I have done this 3-4 times before when I tried to fxz with a low battery.

I have read if you do this you can actually put the battery back in with the wires attached it will charge the battery with protection from destroying it.

That seems like a highly unnecessary risk. I mean, blowing up a battery is one thing. Blowing it up while it's in the Bionic is something else entirely. :)

no risk no reward. I wouldn't try it myself I am smart enough to have 3 batteries, so i wouldn't be tempted to try it.

i guess it's all right if he is doing it for all of us.. we really appreciate the sacrifice.. lol but be careful.. it's cheaper
to wast your time to let the battery charge then buying a new phone and having a personal injury

Yea, I bought the external charger with extra battery day 1. I have a corp discount and they were having a launch day sale so I got them both for a ridiculous price. Haven't regretted it since. The ability to charge a battery and the phone at the same time is worth its weight in gold.

That was kind of my point. Charge it up to 50% or so outside the phone just so you can get it flashed and booted again. That's one thing. Hack charging (tm) while IN the phone is quite another! :D

The OP has been updated once again with some new instructions and RUNME.zip. Just unzip it into your SamuriHL_HouseOfBionic and overwrite the existing RUNME.bat file. This one has some cleaned up text and has the pauses that should help people who are having flash errors. If you find issues with it, let me know and I'll fix it. But I think it should be good to go.

For the advanced users in the house, check out the new Adding new updates section of the OP. No need to download new versions of the HouseOfBionic when a new leak is found. And if you already have updates on your sdcard-ext that you know work, you can remove or rename any updates you don't want to have pushed. The script will only push zip files found in that directory.

Enjoy!

I find it easier to just use a factory cable. Then you can flash no matter what. Even without having a battery in your device.

That was not my experience earlier today. I ALWAYS use my factory cable and it told me to go to hell when my battery was low. I.E. the flashing failed with a battery low error.
