I don't have experience with safe strap at all. Zero. But I can tell you that having it installed can screw things up. Some people have said even a full FXZ didn't fully fix it for them but I find that one hard to believe. However since I don't wipe user data, who knows if there's anything in there that could cause issues. I don't know. I do know you're going to lose safe strap once you flash back to 902. The updates simply will NOT flash with safe strap installed.
As for MTP, if you pull down the notifications while USB is connected and click on the USB mode one, there should be 3 options....pc mode, media mode, and camera mode. Or something like that. You want media device (MTP).
Just checked, the only option I have is for USB storage. I'm booting back to the unsafe mode just to check to see if the options exist there. It was strange, when I ran your fine script (right after the .230 leak came out), everything seemed to work great until the reboot after installing .905 and .230 updates and then the system just hung at the red M.
Sadly a good bet is probably having safe strap installed is what caused that. But I don't know much about it. If possible, I'd remove it to do the update and then put it back. Not a clue what that entails.
Yea, I really haven't gotten into ROMS on the bionic yet. Quite frankly I haven't really needed to. The phone works, I've been able to freeze stupid crap from VZW, and I customize the hell out of my Xoom to my liking so it's all good. I can honestly say my next phone is not likely to be with a locked bootloader. Take heed, VZW, cause that nonsense with the S3 could be the final straw. I really don't wanna switch carriers but seriously.....locked bootloaders suck.
I am running black ics on my xoom. What have you been running.
Oh, SamuriHL - Just wanted to say again, thank you very much for all your help yesterday. Got me from 229-232 and my phone is running much better. Battery life is excellent, running at 1.2 GHz, rooted and everything. Oh, I recall reading somewhere about speculation about launch Bionics vs newer ones for the 1.2 GHz deal. Mine is a launch day phone and it clocked at 1.2 without messing with any settings.
