FINALLY!!!!!!! thank you to all and your patience. manage to download zip directly to my droid and extract using astro. here lies the problem, my beloved htc keyboard was adding a space after "." which i did not noticed at first. again thank you to all and your patience with a noob. LOVE THE LIVE WALLPAPERS!!!!

so i just noticed that the 2.1 update in the firmware version it says 2.1 -update1.

does this mean a second update is on the way not too long from now? I'm not anxious for it or anything, but i'm surprised it just doesn't say 2.1.

Sorry, it came up, just seemed to take longer than normal.

took me about 2 minutes or less to do first boot up. i hear some people saying 5-10, never happened to me, even with manual 2.0.1 update.

It says update 1 because it is built on the revised version of 2.1 that was recently released for the Nexus One to fix its radio issues as well as other bugs. Just think of it as 2.1.1

if anyone noticed....in Manage application i have com.android.gallery and com.android.inputmethod.latin are these part of 2.1-update1? or can i uninstall it?

Follow this video, details and how-to are in the description. This will UN-ROOT your droid, allowing you then to update your droid to this 2.1 update but only AFTER your un-rooted.

I just did this to my droid literally 10 minutes ago and it worked perfect putting my droid back to 2.0.1. I just now, 2 minutes ago, I installed this 2.1 update and it works great.

Not being able to download from the marketplace. I noticed my gmail wasnt pulling either, so I check my account and sync area and my google account was syncing properly which likely account for my inability to download apps. I factory wiped, tried it and tested the downloading, which now works, but i'm still in the process of restoring settings and application uing MyBackupPro. I'll then test again and see what happens. Good times...:icon_rolleyes:

Booyah! thanks to everyone who helps here, i just updated to 2.1 update1

i do have pinch-zoom browser, 3d gallery, live wallpapers(11 included), i still have helix launcher and it does seem to be a little faster.

just a couple of things:
-can't use drocap2 to take a pic of my screens(uninstalled and installed again)...nothing
-wasn't youtube supposed to play videos on hd automatically?

any help on this'd be appreciated.
