More Froyo

thats the first thing that popped in my head, when things were missing!

Everything I try is stuck at "Starting Download" Ive restarted, reapplied your fix etc. I cant get anything to download and install.

install process went as follows.

(via clockwork)
backup
wipe data twice
wipe cache
install new froyo nandroid
installed over clock kernel
install your clean black theme 1.2
install your market fix
Reboot
sync account
go to market and nothing is downloading like it did on the first build.
try to manually download and nothing.

Try to install it without the theme... I've seen several post that have market issues even after doing the market fix and all the posters have one thing in common. You all installed the theme.

I did not intstall the theme but did everything same as you except the theme. And I've not a single issue yet.

trying it now...

Does anyone know if app2sd was added to this or the updated Froyo 2.2?

I have asked this a few times in different forums but no one has directed me as to where to go to check that option.
I Cryo, UD you had to go into applications and check the option.

Does anyone know where I need to go to activate it, or did they not add it to this release?

Thanks
Yes apps2sd is working. Just go into manage apps and if the app can be moved to SD the option will be there.

This build is very solid.

@jroc... Ok so now I'm really confused... You installed the build posted here and are seeing a build number of FRF57 38829, yet I installed it and see FRFXX 33333. It seems to work since ChromeToPhone and MotoTorch are working for me now... but it's weird that there are different build numbers... I restored back to the leak from the weekend and it was a different build number as well...

Jroc nice post...nice to see someone take the time to answer....it looks like ima wait a few days bc if there's a dif version from last night to this morning ima hold off till I get more info...so far I'm mildly impressed with froyo I don't see a speed increase to be honest maybe just more stable...launcher works great but screen scrolling is still not smooth...my phone feels the same it did maybe slower than my darkedge ese81 with launcherpro...but a lot more stable bc launcherpro forceclosed like it was its job...my phone only runs smooth when bumped to 1200 around 600 its jittery ima wait for a def clarification on the newest build before I reflash

Also did anyone else have problems with the launcher draw?
When I tap on the box of dots (bottom middle) and the house appears at times (many times) the app's don't appear. I have to restart the launcher.

Thanks

Me trying to post so fast I left some stuff out:

After going to Settings/Applications/Manage Applications, click on the app. If its supported, the Move to SD Card settings will be lit up. if not, it will be greyed out.

And I had that problem with the launcher on the orig release Sat. I dont know what happened but it doesnt do it anymore. Either try a different launcher or reboot and see if that helps.

I got mine from somewhere else last night. Not from here.

i couldnt agree more with this post, this is EXACTLY how i feel about all of this

has anybody tested their wifi...it says that i'm connected, but i can't go to any sites...when i check the router, there isn't even an ip for the phone, but the phone still says its connected to my network

mine works great[/QUOTE]

u didn't have to install the fix that u needed from the first release?

For chorme to phone:

Sending this exact page to the phone and have it open in the browser. Dont have to navigate here, just send it to the phone.

I can probably post a pic from my phone on the forums this way thru my phone. Thats one way its useful.

Google listen still broken.

Gives error:
Listen requires gmail account to sync with reader.google.com. please add a new account in system preferences

Listen is running fine for me. Haveyou tried signing into Google Reader with the account you have set up on your phone to see if it just needs to sync?

Reader is not even listed under my gmail account sync. I only have contacts, gmail, picasa, and calendar shown

I mean go to reader.google.com in your browser (phone or PC). Listen and Reader are now tied together so you might have to log into Reader once before Listen works.

What If

Hypothetical Question Here...

What if these "Leaks" are Moto's and Verizon's way of debugging the new OS before it is released OTA? Gotta admit they would save a lot of time and money having outside developers do all the grunt work then come along and DL the update change a few minor things and push it out OTA. Hmmm?

Food for thought:)
