Not quite sold on the Droid Bionic but want to stay motorola

Any ideas on how long the wait will be? I'm hearing Q3. Care to elaborate on why it won't disappoint, or can you not say? Are you definitely getting this over the Stealth V?

The reason VZW said yes to the iPhone is simple, money. Something like 550,000 iPhones sold the first week. Some of those were existing customers that already had data plans, but some came from dumb phones and some from other carriers.
I think the original estimates were around 15% of iPhone buyers were from competitors. That's around 80,000 new customers with expensive data plans the first week alone. No company will turn their back on that revenue.

The Stealth V could come with Quad Core and I would pass : )
I will remain cautiously optimistic at this time.

I can understand that but if all signs point to Android being the future why not still get some of the top Android devices like in the past instead of selling their souls to Apple. Of course, maybe the manufacturers don't want their best devices on Verizon since they have to compete directly with the iPhone now. I didn't really think about that.

this tells me 2 things. one (and most obvious), CK is holding out...
second, if CK is this amped, i'm thinking all indications are pointing to dual core, pure Google/unlocked device. and for THAT, i'm all in - count me as a "waiter"!
Can you give us a hint or something about the specs or release date?

Haha, Ck i am happy with that information. Your definitely holding out but i'm getting the hint. A week ago you would have been jumping for joy at the stealth being a quad core. 0.o. I hope its awesome, ive been waiting for a jaw dropper like the D1 was.

Hmm. Don't know if I'll wait or not. Don't know what the big deal with this phone would be compared to the Bionic; I'm guessing more RAM, battery and unlocked. Would be pretty cool to see a Google experience back on Verizon. Can you drop a time frame on when to expect this? Something tells me late 2011, early 2012. Which in that case, the Bionic will do me just fine.

Their will always be another device after this, thus a need to not burn bridges. If Ck could keep this stuff up, then id be a happy man. lol, it could be just limited to thumbs up, thumbs down or in the middle and id be happy. Thumbs up is the jaw dropper though, middle is like the bionic, while good not to fanstastic. Then thumbs down would be ehhhhh its the TB (an upgraded EVO) lol.
I totally agree. It is very annoying that VZW doesn't seem to be giving it's Droid line much love lately. Here's hoping the Targa will not dissapoint and will come before the end of Q3!!!
