Anyone else noticed that you cant get to silent with froyo? When I manually updated it would only let me go from ringer to vibrate. No silent. Ideas?

ya, I just posted about that earlier. It's fixed with the latest release of the update.

Were you stock when you rolled back to 2.1 and if so how did you do it?

Yes you can go back to 2.1 you have to use RSD light and the 2.1 stock sbf file

I manually updated my phone from stock 2.1 to last week's 2.2. I then took some risk and followed option 5 from http://www.droidforums.net/forum/hacking-faqs/39254-sbf-root-unroot.html#post418910 to roll back to 2.01 then manually updated again back to 2.1 and then on to this weeks 2.2. But, I'll warn ya. I'm a huge risk taker. Throwing caution to the wind, I did all this without backups.

I would definitely check around to make sure this is the proper way to do it. Chances are I'm wrong and just got lucky that the ol' droid's still kicking.

Well, I don't know about the OTA update. I downloaded the 76.9mb file here from the first post after rolling back to 2.1 and and manually updated that way. From what we've all seen, once you have 2.2 you won't be receiving any notification to update again. but, apparently, there is a difference between the leak last week and this week's update because I got my vibrate option back via the volume buttons!

Its really your choice. I manually updated to froyo last week and liked it. When I heard the OTA was going full force again I downgraded back to 2.01 then 2.1 yesterday and now im running 2.1 again waitiing patiently for my OTA to appear.

Okay... been trying to read through all the posts and am a bit confused. I downloaded the 45mb file yesterday (supposedly last weeks version that had issues), so now I am trying to find the "most current" version of the manual (non-rooted) 2.2 OTA. Can someone re-post the link with the current version, may save some time for lots of folks. Assume it is the +70mb file (think it would be great to reload the whole enchilda!) Would appreciate a quick synopsis of any know issues with the update (E.g. no silence mode etc...) Appreciate everyone's passion, willingness to share info! (BTW... have not yet loaded the 45mb file... still at stock 2.1)

You build the app for the OS, not the other way around. Any issues that you have with Pandora as a result of the update need to be addressed by the developer.

Is it just me or is anyone else have bad 3G. i downloaded the 75mb 2.2 update and ever since my 3G sux. everything else is ok. any ideas?

MotoMike... I was talking to a couple of folks yesterday that were having problems with Pandora quality the last couple of days. I listened for a bit yesterday and the sound seemed a bit "tinny" and had some occasional crackles. One was a Droid 2.1 user, so maybe problems with the Pandora server? I am listening now after seeing your post with both Scull Candy earbuds and Bose Quietsounds, sounded ok. (3G is weak at my house, using wifi). Curious to follow this. Best of luck! Oh yea, listening to blues of course

So I've been browsing all over the forums and tell me if I am right or wrong. If I updated to 2.2 last week I pretty much have to stick with what I got.
