****Official FroYo Rollout Thread-Version2!****

So I've been browsing all over the forums and tell me if I am right or wrong. If I updated to 2.2 last week I pretty much have to stick with what I got.

Is there anything wrong with what you got? Then just stay with it, there was nothing really wrong with the update that was sent out last week, matter of fact I'm not certain there is any difference between the two. Both OTA files are the same size.

so, has anyone else got the update today. I saw a post earlier stating it had stopped again???

Anyone????

So, has the OTAP stopped. I guss I am just writing to myslelf since knowone can answer my question.

To the best of my knowledge the update has not stopped. If there was another halt to the update we would have reported it.

Sometimes when they update they skip a day and nothing comes out. It's not unusual.

Has anyone from the south gotten update yet? Is it regional? It seems all I have seen are from northern u.s.

lol, 2 days ago people were saying that only the South was getting it. It's very RANDOM, not regional. If you haven't got it, you will just have to wait or do the manual update.

The only problem that I have is the no silent mode. Unless I go into the settings and turn vibrate off then I get silence mode.

The other issue is my photo doesn't come up in the messaging but I'm not sure if I ever noticed if it was there before either so I may be just losing it.

Thanks

Well from what I'm reading it seems the manual method is quite a task with many risks. I'm a week new to my Droid from bb. I don't wanna screw it up. It that a big risk?

If the best signal I can get is regular old cell (not 3G) in an "extended area", will I get it? The phone does have wifi access.

How can they be the same size if one is 45mb and the other 75+?

There are two 'leaked' FroYo files..one (aka 'patch') from Google's update server (45.2mb) and the 76.9mb (aka 'full') update, from a user at another forum.
