****Official FroYo Rollout Thread-Version2!****

I am still waiting for OTA, just because. However a buddy of mine at work got it last night and says it works very well with our business exchange server, except prior to the sync it copied the corporate calendar entries over to the combined calendar and then the sync created duplicate entries.

Anyone have advice on how to prevent that?

Thanks,
Bill

Just received it here. It came sometime between 3 and 4 PM. However I have to go to work at 5, so I don't want to start it and have it running over, so I'll just hold off until I get off.

Pittsburgh area.

i got mine sometime between midnight and 6am monday. Still noticing all the new things with 2.2.

I did notice the advance task killer doesn't seem to really kill everything? The browser, once closed, then reopened, is still on the same page as it was when i closed it. My phone is also moving pretty slow too

I'm in the pittsburgh area

Still waiting in Philly :icon_evil: (yes I know I could end the waiting game and manually install, but I have a terrible luck with electronics. even when I do nothing wrong)

I also would really like to know the question chrispt asked: does the update wait until the phone is idle?
The past couple weeks I've had a weird schedule and have been awake (and therefore messing around with my phone every so often) all hours of the night. I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that I haven't gotten it? Maybe the they push a certain number of updates and if one is meant for you but your phone isn't idle they push it to the next person on the waiting list? I know, this might be a ridiculous theory, but I really have no clue how OTA updates work.

I got mine over the weekend, like saturday... Then looked at some of the changes, like having the Corp Calendar merge in with the normal calendar, Helix Launcher deciding to need to be force quitted so uninstalled it for the time being.

Didn't even know there was a system update until recently. RL being such a busy time. :)

Dump the Advance TasK Killer. Plone will run better, battery will last longer and Froyo does not need it. Documented many times.

so don't use any task killer or anything with froyo? Does it just automatically close programs?

Do some reading. Froyo appears to fight with task killers. People are removing them. Task killers cause battery drain issues with Froyo. Chris

I live in Philly also and the option to update was there when I woke up at 5am est. I'm sure this Region is getting now or shortly. Hey also if its not to much to ask, Could someone link me to a good changelog for Froyo, thanks.

Thank goodness

Glad to hear SOMEBODY in Pittsburgh area got it... you are the first I have seen. There is hope for me yet! The funny thing is that tomorrow my girfriend is getting the X finally in the mail and is giving it to me and she gets me Droid1. Then I will be waiting for 2.2 all over again for the DX in september!:icon_eek:

This morning I got a message that I could update to what I'm assuming is Froyo 2.2. I hit accept and was sent into recovery mode, but it said some crazy jargon that I took to mean it couldn't install.

I'm running:
Android version: 2.2
Baseband version: c_01.301P
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-g103d848
Build number: BB V0.4

How can I get this update to work?

I'm in Nebraska
