sorry for the "dumb" question, but can someone please educate me on how to use terminal emulator to change the gallery, MMS app, and keyboard? Thanks in advance for your help.

open Terminal. type...

su

hit enter. (always start a new session in Terminal with the "su" command [no quotation marks])

type...

gallery

hit enter.

you will see your options listed. if you want the moto gallery, now type...

gallery -mot

syntax is important to making it work. I know from personal experience. so, there is a space after gallery. then the "-mot" with no space (and no quotation marks either).

For the keyboard, type...

keyboard

hit enter. your options will be listed. for example, if you want the white moto keyboard then...

keyboard -wmt

hit enter.

I believe the script for MMS is...

messaging

follow the same procedure.

If I use scripts to switch to the black multitouch aosp keyboard, will it delete the gb keyboard? Or will it still be there if I want to switch back to it through scripts?

Possible Bug? Auto Sync wont turn off and stay off. i turn it off, lock screen, and unlock, and voila its back on. i dont know what it is, but i look into the possibility of it being due to my battery profile settings.

EDIT: checked battery profiles, no fix on that front.

are you using the power controls widget to turn off autosync? im having no problem keeping it off through lockscreen off/on

also, what options do you have under accounts (google, facebook, etc)?

So I have just begun using the Apex 1.3 Rom and it has been amazing aside from my inability to play music, youtube videos, pandora...etc. Seems like something is wrong with my codecs. Any suggestions in how to fix this issue?

From what I've heard, that's a kernel issue. Have you gotten the .34 OTA yet?

The proper OTA kernel is 2.6.32.9-g55626e1

You might want to upgrade using the kernel zip from TBH Patches: 2.3.340-System, Baseband, 2.3.340-Kernel, Bootloader

Check your baseband too (should be BP_C_01.09.07P)

just facebook and the first google account it requires. and i am using... various power widgets. i tried a few to see if just the first widget wasnt compatible with the rom, but non of the widgets work. though im using juice defender now, so really a non issue i guess.

You need to go back to that tbh thread and grab the newer bootloader. You are on 30.03, and .320 and .340 system versions run on 30.04.

You'll probably have to sbf back to 2.3.15 first in order to get to where you can install the new bootloader. If you do that though, you might as well skip the zip files and just grab the official ota.

Not sure if it works, but you could try to download the 30.04 bootloader update from tbh, rename to update.zip, then boot into standard recovery and try the option to update from update.zip (or whatever the actual verbiage is).

I'm fairly certain that the full .320 SBF does work with bootloader 30.03, so there's always that option.

Then, coming from .320, all you need to do is root and install bootstrap and hop over to ApeX, which will move your system version up to .340.

What's wrong with Apex 1.3.0?

Is there anything wrong with this rom?

I'm serious. I haven't found one thing in this rom that isn't perfect. I've had not force closes, no random reboots.

The theme is amazing and battery life is outstanding.

I'm not even sure what could go into a new version to make it any better.

My only simple small wish (probably harder than it sounds) if for Voice Commands to be removed. I hate that program. Removing it manually kind of works, but not via a BT headset .

Anyhow, Great work Fabolous.
