I actually liked the other Nexus S type wallpaper with the carbon fiber type background in the previous version. New ones are pretty laggy.
in terminal emulator:
su
nexus -cm
it'll reboot, and you got the old ones back
I think the attached gingerbread keyboard port is a bit better than the one in Apex. The buttons are resized to be really close to the stock multitouch keyboard.
I actually pulled this out of the GummyJar 1.8.1 rom from kejar31 over at xda-developers.
I packaged it up into a nice zip file that should install from recovery. You could also extract the LatinIME.apk and libjni_latinime.so files and just overwrite the ones in /system/app and /system/lib respectively if you don't want to reboot. You'll need to be sure to chmod both to 644 also.
Anyway, use it if you want. I like it better and haven't had to do any tweaks to lcd density at all.

Whoa, that is much better! Sweet, thanks for this
Wow is all I can say. This is the fastest smoothest rom I've installed. My phone is like a different better phone. I'm hooked.
Installed with no issues coming right from Tranquility 3.6. I haven't run any of the scripts yet but I'm going to mess around later today.
Wow.

What would be the process for this? Do I download onto SD, reboot into recovery via bootstrap and then install zip from sd card? Thanks

Fabolous said:Goodies - Install these the same way you did the ROM, but don't wipe.
Much improved Gingerbread keyboard (with bigger keys) - credit to kejar31:
