[ROM] ApeX 1.3.1 for Droid X - Running, running, as fast as it can (12/16/10)

Basically, the keys are taller than before. Easy to miss that anything happened until you start using it.
Install Script
Maybe I'm just missing something but the post regarding adding back in blur mentions an install script. I don't find an install script in the zip. Is it somewhere else that I am just overlooking?
Extras:
Apps removed from 2.3.320
-You can reinstall Blur apps from this archive by placing the desired .apk files on your sd card and then using the install script!

Steps to install removed app:
- Copy apk file to /sdcard (not any other folder)
- From Terminal:
-- su
-- install exampleApp.apk

Faster 3d Gallery
This 3d gallery thing is growing on me over the blur gallery.

Once again I apologize for the lack of knowledge but can this only be done with Linux? I've tried to SU via terminal in windows within the android-sdk/tools folder but can't seem to get su to work.

No problem. We were all noobs at one time (except Fab, who was born of pure awesome)
You should be doing this on the phone so download the Terminal Emulator from the market and run it. When you type "su" and hit return, it'll ask for root permission. Say yes
Then type the install command and return and you are done.
This can also be done from "adb shell" assuming you have the Android SDK installed.
Much appreciated. That makes perfect sense. I was trying the adb shell and couldn't get it to work until I realize I didn't have the phone plugged in. Sometimes it's the stupidest mistakes.

Not quite so stupid! I also use adbWireless that allows you to connect adb to the phone wirelessly (I bet you didn't get that from the name). You run the app, turn it on, issue a "adb connect X.X.X.X:5555" command and carry on as though you were physically connected via USB

I am getting two text messages as well. Oh and to answer your question, which btw didn't fix the issue
go to all the sms services on your phone and turn off the notifications in settings. Of course keep the notifications on in the one u want to use lol but im still getting 2 messages, in the same sms app, every time someone sends one! Sent from my DROIDX using DroidForums App
i have big fingers but i really like the smaller GBkeyboard. its more accurate for me then the stock one was, and the small one offers more screen realestate for what im looking at while i type. maybe im just nuts.
1.3.1 works beautifully. i flashed it in on top of my 1.3.0 install on the bus ride into school today, by the time i got there i was fully loaded and rolling. the new market is beautiful- and the old market was the only thing crashing for me when i underclocked it on 1.3.0. the one has no FC issues at all. thanks so much!

Choose which one you like better. Messaging is AOSP, Text Messaging is BLUR.
Then, in terminal emulator, enter the following commands (choose which one is appropriate, obviously)
su
messaging -mot
messaging -aosp
Type only one of the messaging lines (corresponding to the one you'd like to keep)

As if there weren't enough questions, here I come. I read the whole thread, some pages two or three times and got things installed and working. Now it's on to tweaking things more to my liking.
The time in the upper right corner is blindingly white, can I change this?
Settings/sound/volume - That shade of green is not my favorite, can I change this?

I am as well...but 2 messages in messaging and chomp, only chomp has notifications on??? ( apex (1.3.1)
