just realized what i did, i formatted system, data and cache and mounted then hit reboot....without install zip (FML) same process as you just mentioned?

Yeah, same end result (empty /system partition). Unfortunately, the recovery environment was wiped, so the only way out of this is to use the sbf file.

Can people who are having Yahoo! mail issues let me know what they're doing to add the account?

I just reactivated my old Ymail account, put the address and password into the email app and it synced right away.

Remember that anything but Gmail is not push on Android, so there will be delay depending on what you set the refresh period to be.

I tried to add my Yahoo! account as both a Yahoo! Mail account and as regular Email account, and both times I got the "Could not connect to the server." error.....any ideas?


EDIT: I was trying with automic setup as a regular Email account and it wasn't working....I proceeded to enter the information manually and noticed that both the incoming and outgoing server addresses were incorrect; they were both missing the preceding "mail." as in mail.yahoo.com.

Could it be the same issue with adding it as a Yahoo! Mail account?

I am having a couple of issues with my phone running this rom. My phone is continually in sync mode. When I open up my accounts in the settings folder it shows that it is constantly syncing my gmail contacts, gmail, and calendar. However the calendar in settings says "Sync com.android.calendar". Many times I will get an error by the calendar saying that it is having problems and can't sync. My email is showing up 10 - 15 min after I receive the email. Every once and awhile I will get a force close on something like "googleapps", I can't remember exactly I should have written it down. Is there any fix for this?

Did you restore all settings and apps from a Titanium backup? Did you install a theme over this ROM? I know the perpetual sync is a side effect of Titanium backup, and the fact that your sync says com.android.calendar makes me think you have a theme that installed a different CalendarProvider.apk.

Please check the 2nd post for hotfix 2. Hopefully this will fix some random reboot issues and improve battery life. I believe those were caused by the BlurPhone.apk I included in HF1.

This should also allow users who weren't able to use the market version of VVM to now use it.

I did try using the Email app and it wasn't working. I edited my post; I must have been in the process of editing when you posted. When I was allowing the Email app to setup the account automatically it wasn't working because part of the Incoming and Outgoing server addresses were missing. When I input all the info. manually it worked.

By the way, your ROM is freakin' shweeeet!!!

This rom is great, 4 out of 5

two problems though, one my phone randomly reboots when i change the slider bar at lock screen from silent to on and on to silent...also it seems like the touch screen is less sensitive, really takes a hard press to move from screens or to select icons...any help or news would be appreciated, thanks

Great ROM. Very responsive and my battery life has shot through the roof. Not sure if that's a side effect of the lack of Blur or something else but I've been off the charger all day and at 50% battery. I used to be at less than 20% by now.

Only issue I've had is some random reboots, but even those are just about twenty seconds or so. Im about to apply hotfix 2 and see if that corrects it.

my hdmi output doesnt work now. any one else? when i plug it in nothing appears on my phone. is this a known problem? btw im just trying to veiw videos and pics

Hotfix 2 fixed my vvm I got stock verizon vvm fro marketplace I've tried this before and didn't now it does wonder what I did wrong. I noticed the blur vvm is in diaper menu when u click on it all it does is turns my signal off for a quick second and turns back on. So no go for that but I got verizon vvm so that's good. The only other problem I have is gmail the gmail app for email is not push or doesn't get emails right away I have to go in and manually refresh.

Try going into my accounts, finding your gmail account, and seeing if the auto sync for gmail is checked.

Since Gmail is not included by default, that option is not checked by default.

I'm having Wifi Issues. Super slow when it does work in the browser. Market takes for ever to load if it loads. Then a download is paused you go to unpause it and it force closes.


Sure now it wants to work for me....

Maybe not. It downloaded a couple apps. Then gets to 100% done on one and won't install. Hm..

Edit: And to further prove the awesome, I got "1337" for my Quadrant score. No joke.

Im on CrapX (JK) now and when i select panoramic then the direction the Camera just closes





also, has anyone tried installing WITHOUT wiping anything..... XD
