[ROM] ApeX for Droid X - An AOSP Experience

new member here. i reg'ed just in case i had any troubles with this rom but installation when flawlessly! just waiting for all of my apps to redownload.

One question: I installed incognito.. gave me the old froyo lock screen..anyway I can put the vanilla one back on? Is it a regular system .apk ?

Well wasn't paying attention when I flashed this coming from RC1, never formatted system and everything is running great. Going on 12 hours now, will have to wait and see.

They're images in the framework-res. You can install this with Metamorph to get them back:

Well you need to mount it anyways so it doesn't hurt to format while you're in that menu anyways.

So when going from RC1 to RC2, we should mount and format. But we don't need to wipe data and cache. That will keep all my settings and such?

Yeah, I ended up just making a backup with ROMManager and doing it anyway. Everything seems to be dandy.

Just wanted to say that the battery life fix worked! Almost been 20 hours with intermittent use and I'm at 80%. I'll definitely be sticking to this ROM. Thank you for all the work

+1....I just got back from camping with my sons BSA Troop and I was off charger @ 6:30pm Friday night with background data on and light texting with the wife and some of the boys parents. Took a few calls, and checked emails and I'm still sitting here with 20% battery (have the OEM extended).

I have to say awesome job on RC1. Don't understand the battery drain issue.

Will prolly update to RC2 tomorrow after a full nights charge. Have a question though...can I just apply zip without the format and other stuff? Don't really look forward to re-intalling all my apps.
