It sounds like it'd be the sense 2.2.x, LauncherPro *SHOULDN'T* break anything, unless its a bug with the new release, which I remember reading of a bug that would be fixed in the .8.0.1 release later today/tomorrow, but I can't remember which at the moment.

stock camera app keeps closing when trying to take a panoramic picture?

The camera app might be overoptimized. I barely use the camera so I've yet to personally test this, and it's an issue I've neglected. I'll post a clean camera app for you. Just extract it and adb push to system/app or copy with root explorer and change permissions and reboot.

So I have been unable to put file manager back on, it just won't install. I set permissions and everything, still no go. Any ideas?

I can look into it. Until then, I recommend Astro File Manager from the market. Free, and works better in my opinion than the blur file manager

alright yeah i have that now its just it uses more memory than the stock one. also did you add an exchange application, other than corporate sync? i must say it works well. also when i try to adb push im getting permission denied from command prompt. i get a $ symbol when i run adb shell. im still rooted though which is wierd. i know it doesnt have anything to do with rubix but im curious if you'd know why. also im only gettin 80 to 90 free memory. any ideas?

Very strange, but I got it to work. I ended up reinstalling rubix on account of a theme not totally removing itself, but I just placed in system/app folder, set permissions, rebooted, and all was fine. Good enough for me

I use Launcher Pro myself and had some serious slow down when I installed it. It didn't seem to want to play nice with ADW. I just went to /system/app and removed the ADW .apk file. Launcher Pro came up and the phone was quite speedy.

Don't hold me to this, but my understanding.. is that if you have multiple launchers, it loads them both, including all icons/widgets/etc. ... so having multiple WOULD slow things down. (This is at least true of using LP or ADW on top of the default blur home screen... which is why everyone that does that recommends at least removing all of the icons/widgets from the screens if you do so).

So, makes perfect sense to remove one rather than running both. Glad things are working smoothly!

Any ideas when a new release will be out? Waiting for a new one before I give this a try.

One more question. What does it mean to set permissions in Root Explorer after copying an apk file?

One more question. What does it mean to set permissions in Root Explorer after copying an apk file?

In Root Explorer, browse to the .apk file in question, then long-press on the file, and select "Permissions". I'm going to guess that the permissions you want are rw-r--r--, but check with the files around the .apk you're installing.. it should be the same as those.

I'm also interested in knowing when next (blurless) update will be. ;) As well as when/if this will make it into ROM manager.

I just see all the time he ends up spending trying to troubleshoot problems that aren't even related to the ROM, across 8 or so forum websites!
So far, common causes of problems:
--People don't format data, think it installed great, and then have problems and blame the rom.
--People run the rom, and then try to restore their data from BackupPro, or Titanium Backup (most common issue, never ending sync)
--People have launcher issues, after switching to LP is most common, that are self inflicted by not removing ADW after switching, etc.
--People don't understand what "Blur-less" means, and suddenly when BLUR related functions aren't there, they freak out (IE: Exchange Sync, Facebook (etc.) contact syncing, etc.
-- ...
The list goes on, but I'll stop there...

Drod, keep up the good work! It is greatly appreciated!

sephtin, thanks for helping out big time!

I'm running the next Focused (blurless) test build myself, I don't think it's ready to go to testers yet. The good news is, ALL the issues that everyone had, were the building blocks instead of the kinks to be ironed out later. So far, calendar syncs perfectly (despite the patch giving troubles even to me after an apply) and everything else works seamlessly. Somehow I managed to free up more space? Some apps aren't even optimized yet ;)

I'm working on getting Blurry (Blur) Rom out first, Focused will ALWAYS remain a step ahead of Blurry, so once Blurry is released and I can give my full attention to Focused, it should only be a few days after. I have a few surprises for you all.

edit: Also, it'll be on Rom Manager as soon as I get a chance to type up the java scripts and send them to Koush.. I'm going to try to work on that today

OK possible retard question , so please save the Pwnage for my next post:)
I am running OTA DEodexed Black Glass and thats it.
If I make a backup using Rom manager, that backs up everything I have currently (duh)
then i flash this ROM (following all instructions of course), then
If for some weird reason I no longer want this ROM, will my Rom manager backup be there, can I revert to it, and everything be as it was prior to Rubix?

I appreciate the hard work in the development community, so please keep it up!
Thanks in advance!
