[ROM] Zero Blur! Zero Lag! rubiX Focused 1.0

I got my phone back up and running and I tried to do it again, the codeline with error i get is:

Formatting System...
Formatting CACHE...
Copying files...
E:Can't chown/mod /system/bin
(no such file or directory)
E:Failure at line 9

hm...

Is it ok to delete the default Droid Market in order to strictly use Appbrain? Just want to make sure it isn't integrated in a way that it would prevent the phone from working.

Appbrain actually uses the market app. When you go to install an app in appbrain, it takes you to the market app to do the install. Market is required for appbrain to function...

Glad I asked then. Thanks!

I think something went wrong in trying to install this. When I went to install it, it failed. it gave me an E: error, so I figured I'd just reboot my phone, turn it off, then take out my sd to put the reinstalled zip on my sd and try again.

now I'm stuck at the motorola screen....

I tried rebooting into recovery and just wipe date/factory reset, still nothing.

Ok. let me start with the stupid questions.. bare with me...
What is it you're trying to install? rubiXFocused1.0?
How did you attempt to install it? ROM Manager? Download to your SDCard and install from recovery?
(the more info you can provide about what steps you've taken, how we could recreate the issue.. the better.

It sounds to me, like the download didn't complete...
First thing I'd try, is to redownload.

If you used ROM Manager, remove the files from /sdcard/ClockworkMod/download/ and try it again.

If from recovery, redownload.

I'm sorry, I should have said everything from the start. My fault. I'm a little new to this, this is my first root on 2.2 (I previously rooted a G1 two years ago lol)

rubiXFocused1.0 I installed it from here, moved it to my SD, went to bootstrap tapped "Bootstrap Recovery" then "Reboot Recovery", went to the recovery wiped data and cache, went to install zip from sd, then that happened.

I thought it was because I put it in a folder I made for roms so I could find them easily, so I moved it from the folder, put it in the root of the sd and it still error'd. I'm going to try to redownload it again and I will delete the files inside of clockworkmod's folder.

thanks a lot for the help, I think my first problem was my own fault (with the M logo problem) but the second I can't figure out the cause.

*EDIT* I tried redownloading it and still a failure. I'm not sure what the issue is...

No problem! :)

Only need to delete the download folder inside of /sdcard/ClockworkMod IF you tried to install via ROM Manager. Also, if you've taken a backup from recovery/ROM Manager, then make sure you don't delete the backup folder inside of clockwork.. that would be your backups.

I would def. start with re-downloading the ROM, sounds like it may be the problem.

I have now been getting random restarts when unlocking the screen. I also have high cell standby % but I haven't noticed significant battery drain.

Are you overclocked? Try lowering speed and/or raising.voltages. the random restarts CAN be related to lcd density, although Moto announced it is a problem.with their software.

It was the lcd density. All good now. :)

Cool. Thanks for posting to let everyone know. Just glad you're fixed.

oh well, gonna play around with it and make sure it's all good!

Loving the speed of focused...although...i couldn't get the camera patch to work. In rom manager nor manual flash. But I did just .bak the camera and installed the blurcamera.apk....anyway...my question is everytime I try to install a theme from the second post...i have important apps deleted...like phone, contacts, camera, etc lol I even lost the ability to connect to the network! Can someone please give me some insight on why... lol

O.o
Which theme? More than one?
If it's one specific theme, I'd go to their thread, and mention it at least.. maybe they have some insight as to what is going on??

Sending you a PM as well.

Is this rom compatible with Onix Concepts themes? Gala X 1.6.1 in particular..

There have been reports that it does work, as well as reports that it does not. A few pages back, I believe someone stated that gala had caused them to lose all signal/radio/etc. But once in a while upon reboot, it would actually work.
Trying to recall other issues reported, but can't remember specifics... but there are issues reported.

The only known working ROMs right now for Focused, are in the second post.

Alright, I'll keep that in mind. So this rom doesn't require you to mount /system before install, correct? Just double checking since it's not listed in your instructions.

Instructions are accurate. The installation script will do it for you.
