[ROM] Zero Blur! Zero Lag! rubiX Focused 1.0

On the dialer for this ROM, does it have the slide to answer/ignore phone calls or is it like the blur dialer where you just press a button to answer instead?

Also, can someone take a video for me with this running on their Droid X and in the video can you just show the following: Show the phone going from sleep, to the lock screen and you receiving a phone call so I can see the dialer. I want to see these things because I want to see how fast the phones backlight comes on when you press the power/sleep button because on the D1 (current phone) it takes a second or two for the screen to actually show and it can be pretty annoying sometimes. As for the dialer, I just want to see how it is on this ROM.

I'd test these myself, but I don't have a Droid X and I plan on getting one, but first I want to see a few things.

This ROM is pretty awesome, great speed and battery Life. First tried loading without wiping data/cache and got boot loop (I figured this would happen but wanted to see)

Reloaded with Incognito theme. I had some issues with not getting service on Verizon on reboots from time to time. I reinstalled after a clean wipe and used Sephtin's black bar mod and the ASOP camera patch. everything is running smooth now.

I am having one small issue. whenever I get a notification it shows as 2 in the black bar. I'm not sure whats causing this, but am looking into it.

Anyway thank you to all who work so hard on this.

Hmm, I assume you mean notifications for txt messages, and nothing else?
Are you using handcent, or chompsms, or ?

More info please. What notifications, and what other changes, or related apps, etc. :)

It's two little hovering icons, one green, one red, both with the little phone logos on as normal on them, that you slide to answer. There is no slider visible though. You just grab one and slide it to answer.

As for taking a video, I have no idea how that would be done other than with a second camera, but I can describe it as best as possible:

Going from sleep to the lock screen is maybe 1/2 second to 3/4 second. It is definitely not 1 second or longer. I have never had any annoyances with the phone's response time, even stock. RubiX made it even faster than that though. You won't go wrong getting an X with RubiX Focused.

Fix posted for the hovering icons, btw. It's a preference thing, if you prefer the hovering icons, then no change needed, if you prefer the sliders, feel free to grab an UNOFFICIAL fix (this is NOT an OFFICIAL rubiX Focused PATCH) from sephtin.com.

Where is the fix? It looked like just different dropdown bars. I don't want to replace my black juice theme! Is there just a slider fix, nothing else?

bleh, yea, it's included in the bar-mod. Problem is, it's part of a framework file that gets replaced with a theme. :P

I'd prefer not to get into fixing themes.. lol.
Wish there was an easy way to script a patch inside of .zip files.. I'd just throw a patch together to just update the framework-res.apk file. :S

I had your black bar mod before I installed black juice and I'm almost positive I still had floating sliders. Did you change it since its original version? If so, would installing that then re installing black juice work to give me black juice with fixed call sliders?

I did change it.. (as per post about the slider fix)... and I thought I edited the announcement post on the barmods as well (?).
Edit: yea, checked. added a line at the end saying that the sliders were added.)

When you install the bar-mod, it overwrites the file. Same with a theme. I don't believe there's an easy way to just apply a patch without replacing files yet.. at least that I've seen. :(
I could probably put the sliders into the blackjuice framework file.. or talk to the dev about it...

If you dont mind Sephtin I can modify your theme with the patch and update mine, I didn't notice the slider issue.

Just to show how indestructable this ROM is....im running a not so compatible theme on top of it and overclocked at 1.4ghz medium voltage and its running like a CHAMP!

No FC's and/or reboots what so ever. No lagging or crashing at all. For the past day.

I was using handcent, ended up just toggling the notifications for messaging on then off again and the issue was resolved.

Looks great otherwise. Very happy with my phone now.

I can't get the Streetview app to install from the Marketplace. Also, what is with the 20% battery interval?

Its stated in the ROM description that the battery interval is @ 20% increments, and yeah streetview wont install for me either.

Has anybody else had trouble with their phone not going into debugging mode? The only thing I've done to the ROM is install Black Bar tweaked a little by Sephtin. I've checked the settings and it's selected, but doesn't show up when I plug in the USB cable. I was trying to take a screen shot and noticed it this morning...

It doesn't show in notif. bar, but I believe it still goes into debug mode. I noticed that it doesn't show there as well. (This happens with or without bar mod changes btw).

My debugging came back! Followed the idea about wiping data on the usb.apk, and repairing my moto drivers on the laptop.dancedroid
