rubiX Focused 1.9.0 Leak/Non-Leak

Almost 24 hrs on this rom and so far no major issues. Battery seems fine. Everything flows well. The only bit of blur that I miss is the voice to text feature. Not a complaint though. Its a small sacrifice for such a good rom.

My video recorder didn't work the first time I tried it. So I went to Applications and force stopped it and cleared data. No problems since.

Well everyone I click the lil microphone icon on my keyboard it never opens the voice recording box. So I figured that its not included. What can I do?

Make sure "Google Search", and "Voice Search" are installed from Market.

My sig had my details. I'm really loving this ROM/theme combo. It's a welcomed change from 928DBGX. You've done some great work here. It's payday today so a few beers are heading your way this weekend :beer2:

I do have one issue or possible bug. My DX connects to my PC (Windows XP) just fine the first time. If I disconnect the USB connection and then reconnect it there is no response on my DX nor PC. I have updated the drivers on my PC and still nothing. Rebooting the PC has no effect. It's only when I reboot the DX does it then allow the USB connection.

I have not read about this issue from anyone else. Is this something that you can resolve?

Has anyone else had this issue?

I had the same USB issues back on an older version (1.0 I think) and I've seen some others report it as well. Back then I went through a bunch of troubleshooting with the drivers and even did an sbf, but I did get it working. I think I had to uninstall the drivers, reboot the pc, reinstall them, then reboot again. I also had to use some motorola driver utility, don't remember what it was called.

However, I've seen people more recently saying that fixing permissions in rom manager has fixed the issue, so I would try that first.

Looking back at a pm to another guy I was helping with this issue refreshed my memory. If fixing permissions doesn't work, I also saw a suggestion to wipe the data of usb 1.1 w/ titanium backup. I remember that I had to uninstall the drivers from add/remove programs rather than from the device and then reboot. If that doesn't work, search on your PC for Motorola Driver Installer and do the clean & reinstall, then reboot. There is an update option there as well.

If you would report back what works for you, that may help others that run into this.

I'll try that tomorrow. No point right now since I'm away from my PC. Thanks for the advice.

Hmm, when I open an app from one of my other home screens (not the center one).. then from within the app, hit home, it does bring me back to that home screen...
I don't ever remember it taking me back to the appdrawer, if that's what you mean?
What do you have your default home button bound to in:
Menu> ADWSettings> General Behavior> Home Button Binding...
Wonder if that could be why?
I have mine set to "Show previews"... If I hit the home button from within an app, it takes me to the home screen (the one it was launched from).. if I hit it from a home screen, it gives me previews...

Edit: Double checked... I renamed /system/app/ADWLauncher.apk to .bak, and am using latest from the market.... that might make a difference? Not sure.

Edit2: Wow.. like 8 responses before mine all saying pretty much the same thing. ;)
Weird.. most times a question just sits, and I have to answer it... But someone with "chick" in the name asks a question, and.... ;)

Thanks for the feedback! Always glad I can help!

Just updated to the leak and installing 1.9.0 :D, Does anyone know if there's a Stock DX/Blur theme? I kinda like the original look but without the blur lol.

OK, so I asked a while back about OC'ing the phone via TE because in the last version of Rubix the JRummy app didn't work for me and wouldn't scale at all keeping the CPU at max all the time. Well maybe he updated the app or the new Rubix updates worked but either way the JRummy app works great now on 320 and 1.9.0 rom. I used ULV 1.1 preset and Quadrant (i know, i know) went from stock 1300 to 1600 and the CPU is scaling correctly. Thanks for the great software and support guys! Loving the new rom.

Currently its on none. Which works if I'm in an app, takes me back to screen I launched app from. But if I'm on my 4th home screen it doesn't do anything (I'd like it to take me backfire the default screen). I think that's how it worked in the last version.

Not a chick, COOLj. Yea this worked on whatever version of adw rubix used for 1.8.9. I'm not saying it should go back to app drawer. It should go back to the screen the app launched from. If I'm on a nondefault home screen it should go to the default screen. And by should I mean that's how I want it.
