Leak vs non-leak

Is there a benefit to having the leak vs non-leak? Currently I'm using the non-leak

I hate the Gallery for this rom, Can we somehow replace it w/blur gallery? I like the one in Apex and rummyx

Unfortunately, haven't found a gallery that works on the existing framework for 1.8.x/1.9.x. If anyone finds one, would love to hear of it.

I use 3dgallery from the market (well it WAS from the market, it's since been pulled, and appears to be unavailable. :S )

I pulled this 2d gallery from a CM thread. Runs great after a few minutes of testing on Focused.

I've attached the apk. I had to change the extension to .zip to attach, just change it back to .apk and install it manually on your DX. This is NOT a update.zip to flash in recovery! The gallery seems to run fine in tandem with the 3DGallery, though the icons are identical, which is confusing. The only really odd thing is that the installer says "Camera" and shows a camera icon when you install the apk, but after install there is only a new gallery icon in the app drawer, not a new camera icon. 0_o

I imagine the weird installation can be avoided by just dropping the file in your data/app directory and setting permissions, or perhaps seph can create a handy-dandy update.zip file for flashing.

Also, the Bread & Butter Multi Touch Gallery works nicely on Focused.

I loathe the 3Dgallery intensely, so I am thrilled to have alternatives.

Just a temporary starter thread for now; heading to work. Sorry for the lack of a thread, I've been swamped with school work.

Change Log:

• Adjusted tweaks to fix the battery situation
• Reverted back to my old 1.8.4 as a base (which was an internal build)
• Couple more security features
• Zipalign on boot
• Various code cleanup and clean up of my errors

As I had said, this would be a small release until after finals, mainly to address the battery situation. As it turns out, It wasn't the kernel tweaks that messed up the quadrant scores, so those are fixed too. No more random slowdowns, either.

NOTE:

THEY WILL BOTH read 2.3.15 for the market. Do not be alarmed if you're on the leak, I did not, and cannot revert you back to the ota.

Also, try not to ask a question without reading the thread first. Sephtin and Inkarnit take time out of their day to help answer questions for me because I simply cannot all times of the day, and I don't blame them if they get mad at someone for asking a question that was answered the page before. Questions will be answered as they are seen, if they are not, please PM me, as its the best way for me directly to answer a question dancedroid There is also a FAQ thread somewhere in my section.

PLEASE give the cache time to build up before declaring good/bad battery life. This takes around an hour or two after install.

Drod updated the ROMs in both links with the Stagefirght fix for camera issues.

Leaked 2.3.320 Full SBF on the way

Just an fyi, looks like TBH is getting ready to release the full sbf for anyone on the leaked 2.3.320.

It'll probably be pulled down soon after it goes up, so anyone who wants it should probably hover around the mydroidworld forums for a bit.

Now if they could show me that I can get back to the OTA 2.3.15, I may consider testing out this leak dancedroid

The benefit is that one works with the Team Black Hat 2.3.320 leaj, and one works with the standard Froyo OTA.

I saw this! P3droid has been tweeting about this today. I agree that a full, fool-proof path back to 2.3.15 and the old bootloader would make me much more likely to dip my toes in the Leak water.

If you have installed the leak from TBH, the 2.3.320 one, then you want the "leak" version of Focused. If you have not installed the leak, then you want the non-leak version...

Neither version of Focused will put you on the leak... you have to do that to yourself...

So I messed my phone up. Screen doesn't respond at all. I am on the leaked 2.3.230. I used the latest download, but I must have done something I wasn't supposed to. I wiped data and cache, but still no luck.

I thought I had the system only sbf file handy, but I was mistaken. Can someone point me (via pm) in the direction to get the file? It would be much appreciated.
