Verizon begins sending customers early upgrade promotions

Seems legit to me. I've never known Amazon to have non-legit stuff for sale, but that isn't to say it doesn't exist. However it does say there that it is sold and shipped by Amazon.com, as opposed to some third-party. Like I said before, they're probably looking to clear out whatever stock they have.

I confirmed that the # in video works as I just upgraded to the X after just upgrading in April to droid 1. They asked if I got promotion told them I seen the video for early upgrade, verizon is happy to honor that promotion. ETA 2days..

2 days? Sucks for me... I was told I'd get mind the 6th.

Same here. Can't really complain since I am getting yet another upgrade early. Gotta love Verizon service.dancedroid

Anybody ask for early upgrade to a Droid Incredible?

I called the 800 number on the video and asked for a early upgrade to my Droid 1 that I bought in November 2009. The first lady said to qualify your contract should not end before the end of 2010. I took the forums advise and called back. The guy that answered was acting like he was ready to do it. He asked me how important a keyboard was to me. I said veryimportant. Then he asked what qualities of was looking for in a smart phone. I said I wanted a faster processor. He then quoted me the price of 199.00 plus tax. To tell you the truth I was a little shocked I thought at sprint that they took the upgrade credit towards the new phone price and not the retail price!? I wanted a free phone. :) So I declined.

My point is, it sounded like during the questioning that they are giving you an option of which phone you want. It was the way he asked the questions.

1. Has anyone gotten the droid incredible via early upgrade through the 800 through the video?

2. I think the droid incredible right now is better phone right now then the droid x. The speaker is supposed to suck on the droid x (low volume). People are missing phone calls. The droid incredible has no reported speaker problem, a sony super lcd display, a 1ghz processor also, sense ui, and cnet reports this phone as being particularly fast.

I can't believe this is just now coming to light. My wife got her early upgrade email 2 weeks ago. I should've posted it then but thought most people were getting them.

I did get an email two weeks ago saying "Droid X is ready, are you?" but never followed up on it, I printed it this morning and I am waiting for Verizon to open before I call the 800 number on the video.

I'm surprised I haven't received anything about an early upgrade promotion. I'm responsible for wireless bill in my house. My parents are due for an upgrade on 3/9/11. The old man has a blackberry while my mom has a "dumbphone". I would think Verizon would target customers who don't have smartphones yet.

We'll see...

I have had my droid for 4 months now. I just called and they told me after i've had my phone for 6 months i can pay an early upgrade fee of $30 and then i can upgrade with a 2 year discount of 199.

Well I finally got ahold of someone else and told him I got a text video saying call this number, at first he didn't know what I was talking about, then he put me on hold and came back and said "actually sir, we are sending out video messages" but after a detailed inspection of my account it is a no go on an early upgrade and it seemed he sincerely tried, we were on the phone ten minutes plus : (
