That's not true I had a Verizon xv6900 smart phone that had a cooked rom
and it had a hack that allowed data and voice at the same time. Cdma is capable but Verizon blocks phones from using this for one big reason its a way to control network overload.

Not possible...No Way, No How.
The Technology cannot support it.

How many people actually use the voice and data at the same time on the iPhone? Its probably slim to none.
This would be way at the bottom of my list, of things that my phone has to do.

Yeah I never understood why this was a selling point...i've never had to buy concert tickets on my phone while talking to Luke Wilson...i guess some people do? Regardless you can do this when you're on wifi, and I'm on wifi probably 99% of the day

I never thought about trying that out with wifi. Then again I never need to use the internet on my phone while I'm in the middle of a conversation. And when I do need the internet usually there is a computer near by.

Yeah it definitely works while on wifi...but like you said, it's not something I use. When I'm on the phone I'm on the phone, I don't have to rush to check the price of potatoes while i'm talking to you

Multitasking is a feature I would like on my phone. Who knows it might come in handy one day. I could be talking to a friend about a football game and browsing for NFL stats at the same time.

the whole data and calling isnt that big of a deal, besides if youre on wifi it works.
i'm pretty excited for this and i will probably buy one at retail price so i dont have to extend my contract.
my question: when they say 'hotspot included' that means its capable, but it'll cost like $30 a month or something right? or is it actually free with the iphone on vzw? (thats probably dumb, but figure i'd ask just in case we get super lucky and thats true)

I'm not gonna lie at first when I was new to android I wanted to switch over to the Iphone as soon as VZW dropped it... But now seeing a friends Iphone and messing around wit it a little while, I realized I'm so use to the Droid X now and enjoy my fairly large screen... Not to mention once rooted it took it to a whole other level..

I think I'll just stick with my Droid X, I'm happy with what I got..

But on the real I notice alot of people hating on the Iphone, stop the hatrid. Regardless if we like our droids or not, the Iphone is still the Largest selling phone in the world and theres a REASON why VZW brought it over. So for you to say its not an excelent phone you'd be in denial..

So who's buying one retail as an existing customer and then flipping it on EBAY for $800-$900?

Will this iPhone4 have the same antenna problem as the AT&T counterpart?

No. Apple had the chance to move the antenna when they developed for CDMA.... Of course they'll claim it was moved for some design reason and not for dropping calls... but we all know the truth... antenna gate... Apple lied to it's users then and will do so with this as well.

Of course there is no antenna issue... (since they'll move it in the CDMA version, knowing full well if they left it where the GSM version is it would suffer the same problems.)

Will this iPhone4 have the same antenna problem as the AT&T counterpart?

"The new design has moved the antenna break position from the top to the sides of the device. The change may simply be to accommodate CDMA's different communication frequency rather than address the antenna issue from the original design"
