Downgrade to 902 - No app or data loss

Hey i work here. And i got excellent customer service skills. Can't do much about the costs. But you know you get honesty with me. And honestly i feel like crap that bionic owners got shafted for razr

ok guys. I havn't found a solution to this issue in this forum so Im going to ask. I was on .232 and used HOB to try to get to .238. When it came to flash the update my phone hangs on the fastboot screen and never takes the update. All I can do is powercycle the phone and get it back to fastboot mode but it won't take any updates. any ideas?

I'm going to assume you read everything and know that once you finish option 3 you need to go to option 4 which tells you how to reboot into recovery and apply the update.....Cause you know, I explicitly state this about 500 times:

What the House of Bionic is NOT

o) A replacement for knowledge on how to modify your phone. I.E. This is not a script for "n00bs" to bypass learning the process.
o) Will NOT apply the update in recovery for you...that is, and will always be, a manual process. Follow the menus!
o) Will NOT work if you skip steps that you think "aren't necessary".
o) Will NOT work if you don't READ AND LEARN *BEFORE* doing!

So you're not sitting there waiting for the update to be flashed for you......RIGHT?

I've having trouble. Long story short, I've used option 4 (FZX 905 Factory Wipe), then tried flashing 232. 232 installs, but then it won't connect to Verizon's network. Everything else seems to work. I can connect to WIFI.

When I FXZ back to 905, how far into the setup process do I need to go? Do I need to check for updates, and THEN flash 232. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I get the 4g symbol when I go back to 905. But it's not there with 232.

Right and when I do that I also get an certificate error on the file and it aborts installation.

And you mentioned this in your first post? Look, I'm not going to sit here and try to GUESS what's going on with your phone. I have better things to do than pull information out of people.

How to ask for help:

Post the following information:
o) Have you read EVERYTHING in this post?
o) What version were you on when you started?
o) What version are you trying to install?
o) What option did you pick on the first menu?
o) What options did you go through on the second menu?
o) What error messages did you receive/happened?
o) Post the contents of the SamuriHL_HouseOfBionic\rsd\SWDL.txt file

Honestly it is a pretty straight forward script...if you followed all of the steps including making sure you have the Motorola drivers installed on your computer then you shouldn't have any problems

Yes, it is, but, when it doesn't go well for someone I want to help them. But I need ALL the information before I can do that. Giving me half answers is just wasting everyone's time. If I had to GUESS which I don't like doing, I'd say either the update zip on the sdcard is corrupt or something didn't flash right. How am I supposed to tell from the info posted so far? I can't. So until they get me everything I need I can't fix it.

I am also not sure why you would get a certification error when trying to install the update unless for some reason FXZ didn't work properly...idk I'm not too good with fixing things unless i know all the details either or if i have the device right in front of me

Well certificate error doesn't tell us jack. I'm assuming it's an error 7 which also doesn't mean much. Could be failing the system assert or it could be failing the package assert. How the hell am I to know without the actual error message? Not gonna try. Would love to help but.....

Cool i think it's hilarious that the unofficial version of ics i run is less buggy the the "official" update my girlfriend has on her razr...lol
