It's like being in the crackberry forums all over again with update rumors. Unlike my storm OS I am not having any issues with the Android 2.0.1 on the Droid. It's stable, fast, and it DOES.

You are exactly correct. Storm users should be used to this and should also realize like you and me, that 2.01 is just fine the way it is, unlike the Storm that with every O.S. leak, something got better and something got worse. It happens when it happens.

I dont get it. Why they are denying there was a small OTA update. I GOT ONE monday, I think monday. I know what I got. I know it was a system update. A little grey screen popped up. Once I hit the update button, it took the phone to some little blank screen with nothing on it but a little box like package opening or somthing like that. This is nuts! I just know what I got that morning was unlike anything I have ever recieved. I bought my phone december 17th .

I got the same thing on Monday... first OTA I got as when I got my Droid the 2.0.1 was already done. Got my Droid about the same time too.
I know 2.0.1 was on it because the unlock was not in the arc like it was when I first checked out the Droid the week before at the Verizon store, it had the straight swipe unlock from day one.

Is anyone else experiencing major lag tonight? I've had my droid since Nov. 6th and I've had and update in the past. I'm currently at ESD56. In the past 2 hours my droid has stoped doing everything from internet to being able to look up settings. I don't know if it's something like pandahome (which has never acted like this before) or if I'm getting bumped up to something like ESD61.

In the past 2 hours my droid has stoped doing everything from internet to being able to look up settings. I don't know if it's something like pandahome (which has never acted like this before) or if I'm getting bumped up to something like ESD61.

if u were getting updated it would say so and give an option to do so, then would upstate then restart it will not do it in the background.

if u were getting updated it would say so and give an option to do so, then would update then restart. It will not do it in the background.

I've been scrounging multiple forums and many threads here on this one and I must say there are lots of conflicting statements. I've had.my Droid for a month and love it in every way but I do believe that there is room for improvement hopefully some of it would show up in the 2.1 update. I was debating rooting to get 2.1 f the update didn't come out today but this thread gave me hope of a relatively close update. I would like to get a difinative date though....

in my opinion. i wonder if people who received this small update was rooted and useing custom roms. maybe they reverted back to stock and everything. then something on the phone did not match up,so an OTA was automaticly generated and pushed to them. i know if i was to revert back to stock 2.0 i would immidiately get the OTA update to 2.0.1 those who receive the small OTA did you resently revert backwarsds

I was experiencing major lag earlier while trying to use the internet. I had solid bars and 3G...but internet was painfully dull.

I had the same issue earlier, my phone worked but I had no 3G or internet at all. I rebooted my phone and everything was working fine then.

Don't know what it was before... It is 2.0.1 ESD56 currently.

One looks normal and two have a date of 12/31/1969???
