1) have not, but I'd be SHOCKED if someone hadn't already...

2) No. they take up the same namespace.

3) Install the launcher of your choice, then using either ADB or Root Explorer, rename /system/app/ADWLauncher.apk to ADWLauncher.bak, that will keep it from starting at all. You can delete it if you like... *shrug*.. but maybe someday you'll see the light!

Just messin' with ya. Lots of people prefer LPP to ADW. kinda sad really.
ADW is licensed as open source, and LPP being closed source and proprietary and all.. which is enough in and of itself to keep me away...
After getting used to ADW, I'm really enjoying it.

Ok on the cam thing...I'm still not sure if I want to jump back to blur or stick with AOSP so for now I'm going to leave it alone...
And on the ADW thing...I just wanted to be sure using root explorer to delete it wouldn't cause any damage...so now that I know it's safe...

If you do have any troubles, and decide to go back to ADW (or decide to try Launcher2.. *shrug*..) Just run the Launcher2 .zip to get Launcher2, or the UNLauncher2 to get ADW back.

Should be safe.. but at the first sign of troubles, I highly recommend wiping data/cache as a first step of troubleshooting... IF you do have troubles.

I had my first random reboot tonight...while talking to my girlfriend, I got a gmail, so I went to check it, but when I went to unlock, the phone rebooted, resulting in my phone call being ended, lol! Well it happens, hopefully it won't happen often or again

drod and sephtin - this is absolutely fantastic! Great work you guys! It's a shame Moto+VZW release these devices with enough bloat to slow down a desktop machine. This ROM feels like the leash has been severed on my DX!

Been playing with it for a while...started off sluggish but bumped it to 1.25...smooth as silk now! Battery life is amazing at this point, started @ 60% and literally the screen has been on for 3 hours only down to 50%! Great stuff!

When the phone is booted up, a superuser permission is needed. You might have missed to give one. Please wipe cache and reboot and give the oermission when it is asked and have it remembered.

I wasn't aware that drod had actually implemented the SabotageRelationships.apk patch we had talked about! It works!!!

Edit: Ok, bad joke.
Just to confirm, any of the following?
--When you installed, did you wipe data/cache?
--Overclocked or undervolted?
--Theme/Mod/?
--LCD Density Changed?
--Any apps that could affect this? OC app/SetCPU/MinFree/Autostart/autokiller/ATK/???
--Have you changed the default setting for the battery manager profile?

There are a couple more I wanted to ask, drawing a blank at the moment..

Sounds like the old unlock reboot bug that's been around occassionally. I could be wrong. It's happened to me a few times in the past and it is always at an unlock. I think moto has acknowledged the bug and is working on it. Might not be your problem though.

weird problem...need help...again

well apparently my Dx does not like being under clocked, over clocked or anything else for that matter....:icon_evil: Anyway, some of you may remember a few days ago (running 1.6) I lost the capability to send MMS messages with both the stock app and handcent after a random reboot due to instability from an underclock setting of ULV 100000,800000,500000,350000. I restored the ROM and all was well again but did not try OC/UC again. I installed 1.8 and decided to try and UC again to improve my battery life. After trying a couple of settings and having the phone just reboot immediately upon running the script..i found one that seemed stable (LV 110000,900000,700000,400000) so i exited and immediately tried sending a MMS using handcent...NO GO! So i tried the stock app..NO GO! I cleared the data (for some reason clear cache was greyed out and not available) on both apps and tried them both again..Nothing. I uninstalled Handcent and just tried the stock app again..nothing..I reinstalled Handcent and tried again..still nothing. I can receive MMS and can send and receive regular texts but it will not send a MMS message. the little circle just spins and the stock app just says sending...

The next thing I tried was to restore my nandroid backup I made just before experimenting with underclocking when everything was working fine...guess what? IT STILL WONT SEND MMS on both apps.

I am completely lost as to what to do next except install everything fresh and then just not mess with the over clock script again but that really pi**es me off because I really would like to have the battery life several have posted about.

Sorry for the long post and dialog but I wanted to make sure I wrote down everything I tried. Is this a bug? can anyone else duplicate this issue?

Just as a side note....everything else on the phone seems to be normal. I do not have any themes or anything extra installed other than the ROM and 33 apps.

Hey sephtin, any chance you know where i can just get like a white inverted circle icon to apply to the rom? Thats all i want to change is the battery icon.
